I have this small snails in my tank. i saw a picture of one of them at my local fish store but not sure if they are the same. The one on the left looks like the one at the store but lighter in color. the two on the right are a little bigger but no strippe design on them. When i turn off the lights to the tank they come out and they are all over the place. I lost a colony of zoos a month ago and I just found out about this small murderer. sorry the pics are not that good because they are too small for me to focus on them. could this be my zoa killers??:furious:

The pic makes it very difficult to tell. Your pic might be sharper if you moved the camera back a bit. Small but sharp often makes for an easier id than large and fuzzy.

The one on the left resembles a sun dial snail, which is a zoanthid muncher.

Actually, the one on the left looks like a harmless Collonista snail to me (brownish stripes). Definitely need a better pic to ID the other 2. google Collonista and Sundial snails.

even blurry I can tell you those are not sundials

regardless of overall appearance, the tell tale sign of any predatory snail is a spear coming out of their mouth that they do not use to make friends. These spears are sometimes fleshy, sometimes with a hard shell casing. In the case of a sundial they are hard like a shell

that and the black "sundial" design on a sundial shell is very pronounced and hard to mis once youve seen it
