Is this epoxy putty reef safe?

Main reason I'm asking is I used up more of the aquarium stuff I bought and I don't have anymore and can't finish gluing rocks. LFS is out and went to another place and they didn't' have any either. So project for weekend is grinding to a halt quickly... :(

I would say no as the link directly says "Do not use in or on aquariums" I would also be concerned with the silicates causing issues.

I did a search on here, some have used it other won't risk it.

IMO I would stick to ones that are specifically for aquariums such as Two Little Fishies makes.

JB waterweld is easy to find at hardware stores and really commonly used in the hobby. I've never had trouble from it except that it makes the skimmer foam up. Do be sure to get the regular one, there is another by the same brand that has steel added for strength. It's clearly labeled if you look for it. No need to pay for the reef stuff.
I'm not sure if that brands the same, but given how easy the jb epoxy putty is to find, I'd stick with that personally.

I would use an epoxy that doesn't have metal and is designed to cure underwater. I use JB waterweld since it's available in most hardware stores and even some walmarts.

Thanks guys.. must been something else I saw that was referred to and I don't remember were I saw it. I see if I can find some of that JB water-weld.

No problems.

Sometimes being in Australia for stuff like this is a joke. Its cheaper here to buy the Two Little Fishies Aquastik then it is to buy WaterWeld. Get twice the size tube for the same price....

That's cray bundy! It's about 6 times as expensive to buy the reef stuff here. We can get the waterweld for like us$1.50 and the 2 little fishes is us$8, if your lfs has it.
Do you guys pay less for the reef stuff or more for the regular epoxy?
What about Amazon? Or eBay?

over here I can get a 114g of the aquastik for bout A$15, a 57g waterweld is A$14 ebay has it for A$11, Amazon by time you allow shipping (no free shipping for us) is A$20

Well, which clownfish?
Does down under a pair of latezonatus clowns (an endemic Australian species) also cost you an arm and a leg (=USD 2.500)?

Hmm ok well I found a thread somewhere that they checked with the company. They said it was reef safe basically and NSF approved? So maybe that better deal unless any disagreements, but I think that is what I saw posted on the forum cause I thought it was something that be in the plumbing section.
