Is this light sufficient?

I currently have a 75g and I have two 110w VHO's with two regular flourescent bulbs that are only 15w each. The VHO's are super actinics. Do I need a regular "daylight" bulb or are the flourescents ok. They are about 6" from the water surface and my rocks go up to about halfway of the tank. I want to start building up my corals but wanna make sure the lighting is suffiecient. With the lights, it gives me a total of 3.33 WPG. Any advice is appreciated.

Watts per gallon doesn't matter.

You don't have enough light for anything serious. I would even be hesitant to try low light stuff with only 2 VHO's. The other bulbs aren't doing anything at only 15w a piece.

I would add a couple 150w metal halides. With 2 150w MH and 2 VHO you would be good to go as far as lighting.

I have two 250w MH in the setup also but I am having trouble with keeping the temp down. I am going to try a clip of desk fan to attache to the back og my canopy to help keep it cool. But with them only being 6 inches I think it will be tough... I just kept the MH off for the temp reason. So will I bleach stuff with my MH? What type should be closer to the MH and what should be on the floor? I have green star polyps I believe and they look awesome under the VHO's... should I move them down when I use the MH along with my trumpet corals?

Nah, I would not worry about GSP's...you could dry those things out in the august sun, pour acid on them, and take a blow torch to the rock they are on.....they will grow back....they always do.

Well the MH add a nice look to the tank. They are 10k. I have nothing above a little below the middle of the tank. The green star polyps look awesome under the VHO's. My favorite color is green ; ) so they were a plus. The middle of the trumpet corals are also a bright green. Im looking into a brain coral. I see some really nice looking ones out there. What are some corals that require intense lighting? Just so I know so if they are something I want down the road I know to leave a nice spot for them.
