Is this normal for a carpet..?

So I woke up and checked on my tank and the carpet looked like this and has some dark stuff coming out....all my params are normal...and it didn't look like anything was messing with it....I just have not seen this before...thanks

Hard to tell but he doesn't look so bad. How long have you had it?

I would say about a month. Placed it in the tank and it made its home there...has seemed fine

It could be pooping. Since you've had it for a month, I wouldn't be too concerned. Just keep an eye on it for any sudden deflation aside from the normal day to night partial deflation.
