Is this starfish reef safe?

Got a coral from a friend and it came with a white/black starfish, does anyone know if its reef safe? Its about 3/4 of an inch in length.

Might be a baby chocolate chip starfish and they are not reef safe, will eat anything that swims. So if I were you I'd keep it in my sump.

It's hard to tell it's exact size, but my guess is that it's a Asterina sp. Being that I have never had any problems whatsoever with a asterina star, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I have had no issue with light colored asterina starfish. However I have heard anecdotal reports of the dark colored ones being problematic with some corals.
