Is this thang a fish killer?

I've had several fish disappear in the last few months and I'm starting to suspect that my banded brittle star may be the killer. Is that likely? He's getting pretty big. I'd say 20-24" across but his legs are really skinny at the ends. Today, I saw him reaching his tenacles into a small pink tip anemone trying to pull him off his rock! Do you guys think this thing could be a killer?

I've never had any problems with mine, although they do feast on dead animals. My guess is that the anemone had caught some kind of food that the brittle wanted -- I doubt the brittle was attempting to pull the anemone off its rock.

He can be a killer, but is more likely to kill crustaceans (particularly shrimp) than your fish. However, I suspect that one that large would certainly be capable of killing a sleeping fish under the right circumstances.

I have a big one just like that, haven't noticed him eating anything other than scraps. Great at finding pellets or other food the fish have missed.
