Cool way to go is to get one of those chillers like Fliger has. Can't remember the name right now. Cooling is 1-1w in/output but heat is 1w input = 2w output = 50% less heating cost :) . Then run the Won brothers as a back up through the controller. Expensive way to go but you would get more life out of that Won brothers heater :D

invincible569's first off wow truly interesting tank and great aquascape. Been reading through the thread from the very beginning. I know a lot of reading I have a equipment question for you.

It may be simple yet it evades me...

What is the name of the lift device you used to bring the tank from floor level to the stand? I been looking to rent one to help me but need a name to id it?

Thanks to those who signed the guestbook! I was happy to see some people i havent seen in a while like nyfireman! Made me smile.

Chad, I had originally wanted the Biomatix, but have yet to see any final release on it. But you guys are right.. I need a separate controller for the heater. Thanks for signing the guestbook, that was funny!!

EBOL, im not exactly sure what the name of it is because Aquarium Environments of Houston delivered the tank to my house and they provided all the tools. You are more than welcome to call Jaime at AE. He's a great guy and is always more than helpful with naka and I.

That tool is called a genie lift. The tank looks great man.. James better watch out! a little bit of rivalry never hurt anyone. what time cycle do you have on the spot light?

LOL. James and I are very good friends. Better friends than most think. We are not after each other, but instead we help each other. James is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and is always there to give you a helping hand. As for the spotlight cycle, this is how i want to have it, but dont have the proper controller just yet.

For now, it's on for 10 straight hrs with the T5's.

I may be getting something else in the light mix that will really makes things different.

Oh I know. ( just kidding with yall ) James is extreamly helpful with everything... both yours and James's tank's are amazing. i feel im not representing houston like you two! (i need more space)

You can rent a genie lift from tool rental places for about $50.00 per day. They are rated for 600 lbs maximum (about 400 gallons), but I've pushed them harder.

The newest image is very interesting. In order to understand 100% the 2 spot lights, the colors are the bulbs or just to indicate different spotlights? On a personal note...great now I have to go back through the whole thread because I have not been reading about your light setup. Not that far in my own design process.....I like it though

I have many questions but need to re-read the thread so not to bother you with redundancy

Anyway to get the light image a little bigger? I can barely read the light bulb info

It just says, 60" 80w T5 Giesemann Super Actinic and 60" 80w T5 ATI Blue Plus. :)

The LED 6x2w that you are running for 12hrs. Are they moonlights?
What kind of light controller are you using?

I just spent all day reading through all 49 pages, "AWESOME". Might have to stop and take a closer look!!! I’m in the planning stage of putting together a 72” x 36” x 30” built A.E. aquarium with sump and prop tank.

EBOL, at this time that is the only item missing from the schedule. I dont use a moonlight just yet as I am still deciding on a controller. For now, I just use the Home Depot light controllers until I can get something that wows me.

Rbolton, 49 pages is a lot of reading. It's getting close to book size. :) If you want more reading, you can read 62 more detailed entries in my journal here:
