jnarowe, at my work we use a device called Netbotz. It works well. It checks for water leaks, air flow, temp, humidity, voltage, audio and it even has a camera. It's about $500. As for the epoxy, im glad to hear this. For me, I was too nervous to let it sit since it was coming from my main display tank and could not stop like an overflow or sump.

Bax, everything looks great now. I was able to put everything back in place. The only difference now is that I dotn have anymore epoxy in order to glue back the frags I broke off that were growing on the back wall rocks. The SPS rock all stayed in tact. I broke off some SPS when getting that rock out. I also lost a pyramid butterfly. I have no idea where it went!! I asked my wife if she saw two and she said she did.. but we still cant find it anywhere. He must of had a heart attack.

mooo. thank you. I made sure I cleaned that bulkhead opening out before putting the new one in. I wont ever move the piping around anymore unless I am ready for this type of event again.

Dudester, looks like you knew what to get. I honestly did not know that some bulkheads were better than others. this was something that was given to me when I bought the tank. Let me know how you like the leak sensors and thanks for the support.

asnatlas, I didnt have any sched 80's around. I would of had to order them and I felt that I would take a risk waiting around.

Looks great! You got it all taken care of while I was out of town, and now that I'm back you can entertain me with nice updates about your wonderful reef. :D

I didn't even know that putty could be used for patching. I'm sure someone in MARSH can get you more if you just ask. TheDude up in Austin sells Deltec stuff and might be able to get a couple of boxes of putty in the mail to you if you want.

And I agree your corals looked vivid and colorful in the rubbermaid bin.

John (thedude) has loads of DD epoxy, he just got a couple of boxes in his shop. Send me a pm if you want the contact number for his LFS, Kingfish Aquariums.

Holy Edward, that must have been a frustrating situation. I am glad that it worked out for you though. Had the bulkhead always leaked a little from the time you first installed it? I had a sch80 that leaked at the fitting on my new tank. I only had to drain the overflow to fix it though, even that I wasn't happy to have to do.

Again, glad you were able to fix the problem.

Bummer I went through the same thing b4, I know how it feels being underneath a tank getting hit with water in the face w/ leaky bulkhead and an enourmous pipe wrench lol ahh the things we go through in this hobby. It's worth it all in the end and man your colors of your corals look great in the bin!. :)

Edward, just to lighten the mood...:)

Is that a new Z???

its the GTR, skylines replacement.

is there a GTR in your Future Edward?

Maximus, I didnt even know they just released the full blown pic of the GTR. The Motor Trend pictures look so much better. That car is going to blow away some doors!

Marc, thanks for letting me know about the thedude. I need to stop by Austin to see all those new nice Austin tanks!!

dudester, thanks for the heads up!

Joe, thanks for the support. The bulkhead did not leak prior to me irritating it by trying to remove the internal pvc pipe. Looks like things are good to go now!

GSM, I would love to have a GTR. I've been waiting for it!

That car is pure hotness! The only bad thing is that I hear the Nissan dealerships will mark up the car over $20k+!! I'm probably going to wait until a few years down the road.

i was reading some great stuff on the GTR today on my car forum.

The 20k over sticker should put them close to 100grand :eek2: :eek1: NSX ^

I cant get over this shot :) sick

The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car, unless you plan to deliver newspapers out of it.

And it may not be imported in that body configuration either. Does it look a bit like a Supra to anybody else?

Send it down under to Australia. I won't have to modify anything

Good to see that your problem is fixed. Can't wait to see some pics when the tank settles in again.

Cheers

Chris
