Josh, thank you very much. How is your nice tank coming along?

tanya, you are correct. And in the closet you will find several bongs. ;)

nugz, and coca leaves! ;)

Bill, thank you.

Here is a side profile of how the Spectra shines down on my tank/rocks.

I love your diagrams. You've even got your new Tunze in it - and as you described, it's in a darker part of your tank. Nice!

What kinds of angels do you have?

What Tunze did you end up getting E.? I just got a 6101 last week. They are very cool, massive range of power flow. Basically a 6000/6100 all in one depending on wether you use the 15v or 24v jumper :)

mooo is correct. Its a 6201. Im loving it. Its very strong with broad flow just like tbone told me it would be like. This is my first real powerhead and it makes a world of a difference in a larger tank.

tbone, right now I only have my bellus. The other angels jumped or didnt make it. The flagfin was the one that was doing so well and one morning I found him on the floor dead. I saw a Poma this weekend and wanted to get it. I had one before, but didnt make it. The part that worries me is that he is shy and will eat.. but not sure if he can compete against the other fishes and may starve itself. I passed on it.

With all the stories of fish landing on the floor dead, I'm getting concerned about the open top design. Is it only occurring at night? I don't recall - Do you have or plan to add a moonlight?

I'm thinking about adding some sort of lightweight canopy on top of the tank to protect jumping fish. Something as simple as a Styrofoam insulation box about 8-10" tall that rests on the perimeter of the tank at night. Sure, it would be annoying to put it on the tank at night and remove it in the morning every day, but it's cheap insurance IMO.

I thought this was a really good idea for jumpers FWIW.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you have better luck in the future! On a side note, the screen posted above sounds like a good idea. I may have to try that. I'm worried about my wrasse and firefish.

Oldtimer, I did add a moonlight and the jumping has stopped. Before it was pitch black so I blamed myself for the fish jumping accidents. Im sure fish dream too and could of caused them to startle itself.

Chris, thanks for the idea.

tbone, no problem.

Edward, is the moonlight you added the one that comes with the Tunze 7095 multicontroller? Not sure if you bought that with your 6201, but I did. I have a single moonlight from that.

OMFG!!! I'm going to sell my house so I can buy a Skyline and I guess I'll just live in the car.

Actually I didnt get the 7095 controller because I am still on the fence about what controller to use. There are so many out there, but nothing that catches my eye with how its designed (aesthetics). I may just have to settle for the 7095. Thanks for the tip.

The GT-R is nice! I've been watching it for a long time now. Godzilla is coming!

Right Right, I keep forgetting that a lot of your stuff is exposed. All my stuff is hidden. The 7095 is big, ugly, and looks cheaply made - looks like a big, plastic box. I'm not familiar with other controllers, but the 7095 works well with the Tunzes. Gives you a lot of different options with regards to the type of flow you want, how intense, etc.

Which moonlight did you get? I'm thinking about adding at least one more. The one light that comes with the 7095 is not enough - food for thought. However, it is nice that the controller comes with a moonlight. The feature I really like about the moon light is that the intensity of the light follows that of a 29-day lunar cycle. Some days, it's bright (and you can see it glisten in the current). Other days, it's dim. Pretty cool.
