detrivore.. it is said that they are some what hardy, but I havent found anyone with true life experiences.

Richard, can you order from LA?

nugz, I agree! Cant wait to find more.

Just FYI I believe those anthias to be relatively deep water and prefer colder water temperatures then we're accustomed to running.

Hi Richard,

I believe Edward is referring to Live Aquaria. com. Sorry to jump in on your thread Edward, I saw you were'nt online now and I hope you don't mind me answering Richards' question. Please correct me if I am wrong w/ my answer I just figured it was live aquaria seeing as you pointed me in their direction when I was looking for fish.:)

Chad

robster, thank you very much.

fishdoc, thank you!

ycn, they are all eating.. but the male eats very slow. The females are starting to eat like pigs. Live brine is what they are eating right now. Do any of you have any other suggestions to help them eat more?

matt, thank you.

dude, a lot of anthias are from deep waters even those some people are keeping now. I have my temp set at 77-78. Hopefully that will suffice.

Chad, you are right. From Live Aquaria. :)

fastfish, thanks. The male still worries me as he is eating very slow. He likes to hide a lot more so than the females. The females are always out in the open swimming with each other. They dont like to swim much at all.. they just swim in one place.

My Bartletts love anything I put in the tank. They are very aggressive eaters. Mine will even eat Ocean Nutrition green algae when I break up the left overs that remain inside the clip after the tangs feed on it.

Rockle, robster and fishdoc, I called around town and no one had the artic pods in stock but some will be getting in some this week. I have tried mysis, krill, zooplankton, brine, phyto, etc. Hopefully they will all come around.

fastfish, I feed them 2-3 times day.

Frozen cyclopeze is even better than the arctic pods IMO and LFS usually carry it.
