seriously? I'll have to check their specs. and see what they draw. I am trying to determine what to use for giant wave boxes.

Jon, i am going to use 4 waveboxes in my new setup 96x48x24. Each pump draw 65w or less. IMO, tunze may not look as pretty as the vortech but it can create some serious flow and it will not crack your acrylic j/k

but what pump is in that wave box? That's what i can't figure out. The wave box manual, specs. etc. do not include what pump they are using.

Ed, if you point your tunze 6201 upward, you don't have to worry about the sand being blow around. I can show you how it done. Just drop me a PM with your number..... :)

I'm interested in finding out, too! :) Would you mind posting here?

Jon, the old style wavebox has 6200 motor with 6100 transformer. the newer wavebox has 6261 pump it is 5w-60w but use 30w average.

Jon, I have use tunze product in the past 5yrs. I use the old style to the new. I know pretty much every trick that will help my flow better or making a bigger wave. I used to call Roger almost everyday to pick his brain. I used to go to reefer house to help with setup their tunze. Lastly, i used to work at Tong (couple years ago) and setup lots of big tank.

Ok folks here is the trick. with Tunze magnet holder the pump have tendency to point downward. On your bracket mounting kit there is a suction cup and a small nut which go inside the suction cup and there is a screw which look like this

The screw will crew into the nut and you will stick the suction cut into your aquarium panel and the top of your screw will be against the bottom of your pump to push it up. Like this

Edward - an LFS had AGE build them a bullnose 8x4 aquarium and I helped unload it the other day. Amazing work. They even built a custom frag rack that fit perfectly inside. Super creative folks over there, nice to see their work in person. I'd put their acrylic work up there with Envision (they also have a large Envision in there).

That's why I never pick up the phone! Nice tats bro. You mentioned that trick last time I saw you - thanks for putting the pix up. 6201's get here tomorrow.

khoivo1 - sorry man never responded to your PM. I see you settled for a size, you will love it! Also, every high end pendant I've owned (Elos, Photon, Giesemann, Aquamedic, Sfiligoi) all came with the hanging griplock system. Works great.

hmmm, now the truth came out... lol. No problem bud. Just let me know how you like the flow with your 2 tunze 6201. Honestly, i think you are copying or competing with Edward hahahahahaha
