invincible, where did you get those MH spotlight fixtures at, im GSM's buddy who is setting up the 240 cube and i would like to get those to give a little more light to the SPS

jnarowe, yes 3 watts only. this is with the PAR meter sensor next to the bulb. I didnt measure the PAR in the water as I felt it wasnt necessary because it's only good for the instant color effect. You would definitely get more color from these LED bulbs. The only problem i see is if your tank is too tall. These bulbs like corals that are high up close to the surface. makoj should be trying one out on his big pink birdsnest. I bet it will look spectacular with the red one.

yep, I do have a water volume issue, but as my corals grow, I think I could do some creative hi-lighting using some of your techniques.

I just went to an LFS event where they were raffling off an Elos Cube...every time I see a sweet cube, I think of your tank!

well damnit i just want to know what they are and where i can get them, and if he is redoing the lighting then i call first dibs on the metal halide spot lights

just as long as he gives me 5 minutes to tell someone else lol, but in all honesty even if he could just point me in a direction of where to look, i need something that is going to look good out in the open and something that i can angle down towards my tank and not blind people...just like the 150W iwasaki 6500K pendant he has

Invincible569 im still lovin your tank,sorry if this has been asked time and time again but how do you have your skimmer plumbed are you gravity feeding it?Have you combined both your 1.5" drains and feed the skimmer or does one drain empty directly to the sump?Any recent FTS shots.

Jamie, I have an oceanrunner 3500 pump which sits 5 ft away from the sump and the sump is another 5+ plus feet from the display tank. The skimmer drains back into the sump. The sump and skimmer sit in the garage. If you look at my previous pictures with the BK400.. thats where it sits now.

Sorry, no FTS right now. I want to see some good growth first before posting a FTS again.

Another question I have for you is do you with a 40" wide tank using a spectra think it alone would adequate to grow a mixed reef?I know you have spot lights but without them how much coverage does this light give?Im cosidering a 36" wide tank and am concerned that the coverage will be limited,any comments?I wish there was a wider MH/T5 fixture.

there are wider t5/mh combos stigfolli makes them, Stealth line.

gsmguy the sfigioli are really nice but I need a 72" fixture and stealth only come in 48" I believe.KZ coral light with leds is 60" long which will cover the bulk of a 72" tank but its like 4k.At 4k thats 2x the cost of my tank thats crazy!!!

At the time we were discusing all T5 but they appear to be using the same shell for both the HQI combos and the dedcated T5 units.

Can't hurt to ask and see waht they say.
