OK, I think I understand now. She is asking whether the Aqualite line is the same as the Colorlite line right?

And I really don't know what the difference is, nor did I know that the Aqualite line came in a 1000W lamp. Looks like it might need a pulse start ballast if I am reading the specs. correctly. It appears from her last post that she got an answer though, but I wonder if there is a price difference?

Hi Edward, your thread was starting to get buried a little bit so I thought I'd bring it to the top. :D Any new pictures of livestock or changes to the system?

Hey John yes that was the question I was asking. BUT I awnsered it through my LFS. He called them since he carries there products and they told me that the diffrence was "NOTHING AT ALL". One name is meant fot our hobby, the other was meant for stagehandlers (I.E. plays concerts, ect... ect.. ect...)

Hey Josh and Sone.. not any new pics. Just what I have been working on in my blog.. minor things. :) Nothing wow except I did draw out the design of my plumbing & pumps.

That's a lot of pumps! Are you feeding your skimmer with the same water that it is putting out?

Actually, that pump sits under the drains while the return of the skimmer has a hose that goes down to the first compartment of the first baffle before it goes out. :) Its a wide enough sump. :)

jnarowe, yes, I have true union gates on all my pipings/pumps. I did run into an episode recently where my Oceanrunner died that fed my chiller and replaced it with a Coralife. It was a few pages back. No problems replacing it.

dudester, yes it is on it's own closed loop. It's a really nice feature because I can shut down my return pump and not have to worry about my tank overheating. I did that before in my last tank when I forgot to turn the return pump back on after some maintenance. I got this idea from naka.

your light study in the blog is so interesting that is really very cool. i would love to stick a par meter in my reef...

Thanks GSM. I was able to get new PAR readings off of our latest RC TOTM, fishcraze2002 today. This meter has been more useful than I thought. All thanks to slovan!

I got another special surprise coming that I am going to use the PAR meter on.

great article. Thanks so much for that! I may run into trouble with that unit since I am using 1000W MH lamps, but at least it would give me some indication as to where I am at. I'll have to study it a little more and see if It will be acceptable to buy the cheaper one. :)
