Wow this is gonna be fun. What kind of fish are you looking to put into your ocean?

Mainly groups of anthias and wrasses, I will keep my hands off aggressive tangs like Achilles and powder blue. Also gonna keep some pygmy angels and cardinals in the mangrove tank :)

That is a great idea. You can always add more aggressive fish such as tangs later. Anthias are such beautiful fish. Looking forward to your build taking shape. What are you looking at for flow through such a beast of a tank?

Between your Abyzz trio and Dastaco I see it being very hard to not get it right. A+ equipment all around.

Yeah I hope my investment pays off in the long run!

The hardest part was finding the right CO2 pressure level with the needle valve upon initial set up....after that it is so easy.

Could you elaborate more on that? Would love to learn, thanks.

Probably easier to understand once you have the instruction manual but it basically has to do with how long the solenoid valve stays open for each time the chamber vents which is once a day. I cant remember what the target time is but its stated in the manual. Once everything is set up you will see lights on the integra controller. When the blue light is lit, that indicates the solenoid is open and allow CO2 into the reactor. You will need to time how long that blue stays on for. If its staying on too long you need to close the needle valve and if it doesn't stay on long enough you will need to open the needle valve. I apologize for not being able to remember what the length of time is but it is stated in the manual. Once you have that dialed in, everything else is a piece of cake.

the co2 regulator that comes with it works perfectly fine. no need to replace. I have used more expensive ones and dont see a difference.

Got the manual already just roughly went through it, thanks.
Did you use the Dastaco media too?

you can get super fancy and get a stainless steel swagelok vernier needle valve or go all out with a lab grade full ss co2 reg.

Or a less expensive (vs a lab regulator)but very easy to adjust option is to go with an electronic needle valve

Thanks for the inputs guys, gonna try the original one that comes with the reactor first, I'll see how it goes. I need them to operate in 220V as well.

Glad to hear this, I'll let you know how it goes after the reactor is up and running.

Testing my OLD++++ VHOs - Still alive and kickin'! I also got the new batch of bulbs from UVL because I am a few bulbs short. The new ones I am getting says USA on the tube, the old ones says Hungary. Can't really tell a difference when they are lit up..... Hopefully they have the same lifespan.

I just keep on breaking my piggy bank when I see nice corals and fish. :lol2: My goal is to complete the new tank by the end of October.

Every reefers dream to own monster tanks.
I believe you have the necessary skills for success judging from your previous tank.
Subscribed and good luck.
