Issue With 6105

Hey Roger!
I purchased 2 used 6105s last summer and JUST got around to filling my tank and giving them a spin. The first one I turned on made a loud screeching/grinding like noise and then shut itself off, and had not worked since. Is there something I can check to see what's wrong or am I just gonna have to replace it?

Not to steal Roger's thunder, but, did you take it apart and check to see if the drive unit (prop) is covered in calcium buildup or not, and if it spins freely on the shaft?

That is the most likely culprit, dried up salt and calcium in the pump. I would disassemble the pump and clean the drive unit and all parts and possibly run them for an hour or two afterwards in a bucket of warm water and vinegar mixed 4 to 1 so soften up and dissolve any remaining deposits.
