Issues with butterflies in hyposalinity?

I'm on week 3 of hyposalinity on my display. My yellow longnose butterfly started looking rough last week so I pulled it and returned it to normal salinity over the course of a few days. It looks great now but I'm still concerned about ich possibly being present so it will be run though TTM at some point before it joins the others. I also had a pyramid butterfly that was doing incredibly well for the past few months suddenly die yesterday. It ate voraciously the day before and then I came home to it swimming upside down and in circles yesterday. Is this probably just a coincidence or are butterflies sensitive to hyposalinity?

The only recommendation I've seen concerning Butterfly fish and Hypo is to lower it slower than you normally would.. so I guess, yes, they are more sensitive to lowering salinity and you need to take more time. Not sure how much you dropped it or how fast though.. It should have been done over 48 hours(longer doesn't hurt), and make sure PH matched up... and raised salinity back up over a week... and it does require a properly calibrated refractometer..
