I don't have a current pic of full tank shot so I'll post a pic of ORA A. Tort. before and after. The before was taken when I first started feeding the "pappone".
I have also switched from 400w xm 10k to Reeflux 10k..

how do you like the 400watters? do you think they also play a role in the growth rate?
Michael
I've never run any 250's but I really like the 400's. Also using the lumenarcIII. I only run a single light over the tank. It's 36" long and I have great coverage.

My formosa now grows more then 2" a month. I don't know if this is much for a Formosa...
I just upgraded my lighting this weekend, maybe there will be more improvement. (250 Watt AB 10K DE) Had one, now double.

Is it safe to take a poll here on how many reefers are using more then 250 watts bulbs? I shte 400 watts the norm to achieve color and growth?

Probably would be a good poll to post here in the SPS forum. However I really think it depends on the depth of the tank really.

how often u guys feed this to tank? at night w/ lights off? i read the above recipe. i thought AA and spirulina were part of the recipe...? i didn't see those in there.

Hi Edward,

i don't have pics of Blureff's tank, i'll ask him for some pic to post.
Many italian reefer's use intense light, most use HQI 400W and others like me use 250W.
Before you were talking about the tank of a very good friend of mine, Aster. He uses 2x400W and 3x250W plus 4 Pl 24W blue on his tank 220x75x70cm.... he uses a "simple" classic system with tons of food, he owns an awesome tank.

Danilo Ronchi is another friend, till 3 mounts ago he was using 2x250W PFO like reflector, now he uses an ATI 8x54W T5 on a 120x50x50cm tank, also he uses only a "simple" system.

Bye

do they all recommend BB? some of the photo's have dsb. what is the most successfull for them? i have a 135 gal, 3 x 400W MH's.
