Before reading on know this - I will not part out - don't ask. Also I have written "see pics" but I have no pics at this time. If you are close to San Mateo you can see it live - other wise pics will be coming soon, gotta find a friend w/ a digital.

300 gallon system $3500 / obo

A serious injury to my back has forced me to sell my beloved Reef Aquarium. I have spent years and countless thousands of dollars (If my wife only knew) building this system. In 2006 I upgraded the protein skimmers at a cost of nearly $1000.00. My loss is someone else’s gain. This system is a steal. The only catch is you will have to pay for the pizza and beer to have some of your friends help you move it. I can’t risk any more damage to my back and therefore can not help with the move. The Price is more than fair, but a reasonable “cash” offer will be considered.

Thanks for looking,

Chris

this is a great deal for a large reef tank. I hope that you will be able to stay in the hobby on some level.

Meet Chris over the weekend and saw is tank. His livestocks are very healthy and gorgeous. His equipments are so clean; he is very meticulous in taking care of his setup.

Hello every one,

I was at Chris home yesterday.
I got to see his tank and he was nice enough to let me take some pictures. WOW! doesn't begin to describe that set up and the pictures don't do it any justice.
The beautiful green Hydnophoras at opposite ends of his tank are massive. The one towards the front lower left of the tank is about 15" in diameter and the one towards the right upper rear of the tank is about 18" in diameter, the bubble and harmmers are also about 15" in diameter. I thought only Steinheart aquarium had colonies that big. The rest of the corals are also very pretty and the fish are all very healthy. His Dussumieri is well over a foot long with great colors. Incredible!
Any how, who ever gets this tank, wins the lottery. You will not find Hydnophora colonies this big any where and even if you were to ask a local store to get them for you, it would cost you and arm and it would arrive to you in pieces.
All his equipment is top notch and he keeps it better than brannew with upgrades he has done.
Here is some eye candy for you!

Xinumaster thanks for the kind words

Maynor thank you for posting the pics and the kind words.

It was a pleasure meeting both of you and your wives -

Peace Chris

Beautiful setup. Are you giving up the hobby completely? You are very good at reef keeping, maybe you should just downsize. :)

I am only intererested in the tank, stand, canopy, and sump. Since Skylar won't part out maybe we can part it out for him. If everyone else claims the other things we can probably do it. It might be a hassle but it might be worth it. Post if you are interested in any part of this system.

Hello Chris,
You are more than welcome and I am the one thanking you for letting me take pictures of your tank. My regards to your wife and little one.
I would put my self down for the 5 corals and the purple tang I mentioned to you.

Al G Blenny, TikiDan, Radiolunatic,
This is a great idea and we could all agree on a day so we all pick up every thing on the same day and that way we would't disturb Chris and his family too much. I can make that a "grill day" for me and that way they won't have to cook on that day.

We could also charge the neighbors $5 a plate and that'll pay for the whole set up! LOL
kidding aside, I know this would be bitter-sweet for Chris, but if he went for this option, right me down to barbecue at least for his family, so he or his wife won't have to cook on that day.

My best to all!

I'm interested on all his fishs. But unfortunately, I don't have a tank to house it right now. I hope I can find a fishseater.

Second dib also on the er.

i'd be willing to take all the livestock if the price if fair. then Perry can take some of the fish from me. : ) -alan

Hey guys Thanks for the interest. I know you are trying to make this happen for me (and yourselves). At first I was going to pass on the whole selling many parts at once thing because I think it would just become a big mess. To be honest I still do, but I also feel I need to be reasonable. I replied to a couple of PM's concerning this with what I think would work, but I will post here as well

If a group wants to get together and pool their money that's great, but someone from the group will have to act as a foreman, buy it, and handle the "parting out." Then the group can come and get it. Maybe livestock one day tank the next? Whatever works? I also think everyone in the "group" should see what they are getting so nobody feels cheated. I can make myself available for people to see it in person.

Or if there were 2 groups 1 livestock and 1 equipment - but bring offers as a group for ALL live stock or All or almost all equipment. Obviously I can be a little flexible on the equipment said once the livestock is gone, because life doesn't depend on it.

As far as price. It is extremely fair. 3500.00 or best offer. I may be willing to drop a few hundred or discount to keep the reactor set up (I know I will have another tank someday), but I don't have a "best offer" yet.

I hope I am not being too difficult.......And Maynor I just might take you up on the grilling!!!!!

Thanks again PM's replied to.

I would like the giant hammer coral, the red and white candy cane, the blonde naso steamer, and 1 t-3 velocity pump. I would also like 1 or 2 100+ count paly rocks.
Thanks,
Paul
