Yes, I don't have much light in my tanks.
About the current, I have to play with it, if they don't like it, they will move.

I put it in a 4" U-shape PVC (with sand in it).

No, I use the
CaribSea Seaflor Special Grade Reef Sand

I got a few of the 4inch , 55 degree pvc n so far the LTAs are ok n not blowing around, i have to order the special grade reef sand.

I think they are all the same. All need quality water, proper light, and proper current. I don't feed them unless I want them to grow faster.
