It's happening!!!

I have had my BTA in my tank for two weeks and my clowns had completely ignored it . Last night I moved my BTA to a small rock, then today I moved the rock with the BTA to the corner of my tank that the clowns call home. About 10 hours later I look over to the tank and see this... The Nem looks a little perturbed right now, I assume from all the extra attention and moving him, but hopefully his new little friends will help him feel better. I have also had problems with one of my Skunk Cleaners harassing the BTA, hopefully the clowns will keep him under control too.

Thanks! Yeah, I love the mutton chops on the male. I would have preferred to have gotten two that looked like the male, but I found them at a LFS and they were already paired, happy together, and they made me a good deal so I snagged them up.

has the bubble tip moved on you or stung anything? still a little nervous about getting a nem.

The bubble tip has moved a little, but has never switched rocks, just got into a different position. He has not stung anything. The clowns have been perfect citizens so far.

This morning I woke up to see that my two Skunk Cleaners had pushed out the clowns and were thoroughly working over my BTA. They have got to go. Now I just have to catch the little buggers...

The nem is slightly small for that pair, hopefully it can handle it.
It sure looks like a ritteri/mag and not a BTA looking at tents, which would be a natural host for those clowns.

It is definitely a BTA. I agree withe the size of the nem. I am a little concerned the Clowns are going to love it to death...it is still looking pretty deflated.

Definite risk with a nem of that size and 2 clowns swarming it. He should be 3-4 times bigger to host those two. He may need some quiet time to grow a bit before letting those 2 have at it with him.

Well, the nem is making a comeback. I think my clowns have gotten gentler with it and with the two Skunk Cleaners that were picking gone it is having a chance to heal. It was down to only having about 15% of its tips. Now new tips are growing back and it is looking better. It moved down the rock and has its foot between the rock and the glass.

Skunk cleaner only removes dead tissue, shouldn't hurt it.

Well, as mentioned the BTA was a little small for the pair. It is healthy but looking a little worn from all the attention. So, I decided to get them a bigger house. I added it to the same rock as the other nem and the clowns took right to it. They spent the day frolicking from one to the other, but tonight they chose to sleep in the "big bed"...
