Its here, its here!!! Lots o pictures

She used to be real nutso like that, but now she just tries to "bulley" my hand around, she hasnt bit me in a long time. Her new thing is to move the sand away from the front of the anemone onto my clam.
Ok, sooooo I was a little intoxicated last night and snapped some more pictures.
I am hoping the anemone is going to stay put in this spot, but we will have to wait and see.
Can anyone ID the coral in the last picture? The orangish one.

The tank is looking great! I dont know if you remember me but I came to your house a while ago and got some corals from you. I was setting up a 125 gallon back then. Well I have moved to Dallas and I sold my tank before I left. I plan on buying a 24 gallon aquapod withthe 150w on top. Its a great deal at dr fosters. How are you liking the new tank?

Just by chance, how old is your tank? Why would you even consider getting a clam, all these corals and let alone an anemone for that young of the tank? Your tank hasn't even gone through the first algae cycle and your buying stuff. Anemones need established tanks.

Hey Dave, I love this tank! I love the fact that you cant see the equipment! And I seem to really enjoy having a small tank better than the big one. Drs Foster and Smiths customer service was great too., Dont forget to post pictures when you get yours, I love to see pictures! Hope all is well with you!

Your first question is "Just by chance, how old is your tank? "
Than you answer your own question by making the ASSUMPTION that my tank is too young to be getting all this coral and why would I even consider getting a clam, and that anemones need established tanks. Well thanks for the advice, but I downsized from a 65 gallon established tank (you might have read that in my signature) and most of this was transplanted to the 24 gallon tank..................just for the record.

Well in your signiture it says "very new to SW" and what it doesn't say in your signiture is that you downsized your 65 gallon to a 24 gallon. So I was thinking that you started up a brand new tank. Not to mention you didn't say anything in your thread about transplanting stuff out of your 65 to your 24. Why would you want to downsize anyways? You have an anemone thats going to outgrow your tank if it makes it. Your still going to go through a small ammonia spike and algae bloom. Plus looking at your liverock and sand makes me also think your tank is very new based off your pictures.....just for the record.

When I get mine I am thinking of getting a small skimmer that fits in the back. I know everyone changes the pump on these. From what I have read its best to get a MJ900. So you cut another hole for the water to return to the tank? How is the flow in there? Are there any other mods filtration-wise that you might do?

I did make another hole, the bottom one has a MJ1200 and the top one has a MJ 600 I am thinking about changing the top one to a 900 or 1200 I think it needs alittle more flow (I am using longer locline on the bottom one). I am also running an aquaclear on the back and I just got my Remora Nano today. We will see how it works out. Still love the fact that with even all this equipment, you cant see it in the tank!!

Sounds good. I am going to have to build my own stand. I hate when stands are low like at 28". Why dont these companies figure out that we like to look at our tanks without havign to hunch over? Building my stand should be pretty easy. I built my stand for my 125 gallon. But back then I had a garage to work in. Now I live in a loft in downtown Dallas. I'll figure it out though. When you went to have the stand built by the cabinete people what measurements did you bring them? Did they pretty much make it any way they want or did you give them guidlines? Sorry about all the questions but I love the stand.

No problem Dave, I took them a template of the bottom of the tank and told them I wanted it 34 inches (I think) high. They took it from there. They did the drop down for the tank to sit in, and now I think that was a good idea because the tank cant be slid off the stand. The braced the top part, I will take pictures later to show you how they did it. I dont think it would be hard to make, but I dont know how to do the formica part.
