its hip to be square....

Sorry for the late response. I'd love to have a school of anthias, but I don't feed enough really. I don't have the reactor online now, but it's getting close I think. Some LPS are growing good, coraline is growing good and I recently added a few SPS frags.

I use a the mighty magnet FF4 cleaner for my tank. Its super strong, no scratches and does a great job. Unfortunately its not cheap.

Is ANYTHING in this hobby cheap?
I am leaning towards that magnet was just wondering if anyone else had good input out there?

Thanks steve! By the way your setup is coming along nicely

I have a Hammerhead - works pretty well, although I end up using a kent scraper if I let the coralline get out of control.

Few pics....

Just added a coral beauty, couple purple dottybacks, starry blenny. I would like to add a schooling type fish. Any recommendations out there.

Corey

I think perhaps you mean shoaling fish. Our aquariums are too small to keep schools together. How about a nice group of 3-5 heniochus bannerfish?

Dave.M

I do mean who shoaling fish, last time I used at word I was incorrectly corrected and asked what I meant by a few others. So I went with the more common although incorrect terminology. I will check out the bannerfish, I like anthias but I just dont feed enough to have luck with them. I do not want an auto feeder because I like the clean look of rimless. Although someone at my LFS suggested hanging one on my sump, by my return pump.

Dave, I just looked at that fish as I was not familiar with them. Amazing fish, cannot say that I have ever seen one in person.

Corey

Sorry for tuning in late but your tank is amazing. I'm about to add a shoal of tangs to my system on the near future. Maybe some pyramid butterfly fish?

I had to go back a few pages to see an image of your overall set-up. Do you have room up in your light canopy for a small autofeeder? I just use them to feed pellets a couple of times per day. I still prefer feeding the meaty foods (the good stuff) by hand. I consider the autofeeder to just be supplemental.

Thanks for stopping by Wayne, your tank looks amazing too man!
Dave that's a great idea, I could hide it up there. I was thinking on my sumo above the return pump to get it back to the tank. But I could probably out something like that small ehiem in my canopy. Like you, I prefer to feed the good stuff by hand, but this would allow me to feed when I might miss the light period on my tank.

Current fish list is
2 yellow tang
2 blue tang
1 sailfin tang
1 purple tang
1 Lamarck angel
1 coral beauty
1 fox face
1 golden spotted rabbit fish
1 six line wrasse
1 yellow/purple wrasse
2 starry blenny
1 banghi Cardinal
1 red head wrasse
2 black perc clownfish
1 Orange perc clownfish
3 brittle stars
2 purple dottybacks

21 fish I think. Decent sized bioload for this tank

Skimmer is slowly getting dialed in...or headed in right direction now. Starting to tinker with the calcium reactor, getting it online as well.

Question, I only run my MH about 7 hours a day, however I'd like to add some light to my tank for my extended viewing pleasure only. I am looking for a few small LED strip lights I can insert in my canopy. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Corey
