its hip to be square....

IMHO the beckets draw a lot of electricity except if you ll run them straight form the overflow!

For my skimmer equals ATB but I think a properly rated one will be a slight bit over your budget!

Got the top put on and hoping the bottom will follow this weekend. Stand is almost finished too.
New dilemma I have, custom beckett skimmer from GEO or needlewheel skimmer. If the needlewheel my budget is about 750$. Any thoughts or recommendations?

Thanks
Corey

If it was in my budget I'd go custom to your standards.

Ya the custom beckett is at the top of my price range. Alpha and BK are out of my range and I'm not so sure on the octopus series.....

I'm considering the 5000 series but I hear so many mixed reviews on them and the bubble blaster pumps. This is tough. :(

Checked my water in my rock tubs today, nitrates about 75. Doing 100%water change. Hope to have the bottom on the tank this weekend!

Thanks man! Me neither.
I also really appreciate your time and input on the skimmer topic. There is a lot of info to digest and maybe I will figure it out soon! I wish budget was no issue but it is for me.
I'm curious how much better the red dragon pump over the bubble blaster is. Rumor is it is same pump.
I've got some feelers out there on ideas and talking to a few educated ppl on skimmers. I do thank you very much tho

Got some shelves started and got a few of my power supplies hanging in the electrical area.
Pictures to come

Here is the rock, still cycling. Hope to have zero nitrates in it soon.

Electrical cabinet start. I will also hang my MP40 controllers here. Then drill a hole out and use "U" clamps to run the wires in a controlled direction.

This stuff is like rolled up veneer. I will iron it on to the edges of my doors, then paint it too.

Happy and safe 4th to everyone. AND A BIG THANKS TO THOSE THAT SERVE AND ALLOW US TO CELEBRATE DAYS LIKE THIS

I like the electrical box, similar to what I did. You'll love having all the cables and extra wires hidden back there. Going to look nice.

I'm headed ver to your build now to check out the compartment you have

Corey

I think you'll have more space than mine, mines pretty cramped. I have my apex and controllers on the outside, along with an iphone for controlling the apex etc. All the cables and power units are hidden in the back, but easily accessible if i remove the cabinet side door.

Yea I will probably out my controller on the outside too. That way I can see it easy. Not sure yet though where I will mount it. I have the older ACJR, have thought of switching to the apex but what I have works for me well
