Alright im sick of my old 125g tank. So its time to upgrade tanks. I think Im going to go with a 96/30/25 with starfire front and sides. I dont want a standard overflow box and glass cages dosent do external overflows so I am thinking about having a overflow the whole length of the tank so I dont have anything protruding into the tank, but I want to leave as much room as possible. How wide do you guys think that the overflow should be?

Doing a external C2C I would make it wide enough to get my hands in it .In case a bulkhead leaks or need to for cleaning. That would be sweet to see on a 300 gallon tank.

Yeah I'm thinking between 4"and 6" wide but 6" is to wide I think. I was going to go with a 36" wide tank a 375 just so I could get 32" front to back with a 4" overflow but it almost doubled the cost of the tank. Hows the 240 coming?

Me too That leaves me with 28" left to aquascape. Ive never had that much room to work with in my own tank this is going to be fun. I cant decide if I want to go with a closed loop or go with the new stream 2 6205's. I think that I can save some money in the long run with the 2 stream 6200's even though there over $500each over 10,000gph at less than 80watts is hard to beat. But then again the new super dart golds are pretty energy efficient. What do you guys think?
