I have been struggleing with these stupid things for a good 2 months.:furious:
They die down. Then come bouncing back.I have cut down feeding the fish. Cut back lighting time.Changed water. I have some Phosgauard coming to try next. I have even shut the door the the room where the tank is, so I could just ignore it.It's driving me crazy.

how old or how long has the tank been running?

It's been up about 1 year.

Whew..finally! I got some distilled water, and did a 25% water change. The Phosguard seems to have REALLY done the job though. Happy wet pets. Happy caretaker.

Your not using RO/DI to make saltwater?

The closest aquarium shop from me is over 1 hour away. I have to order in everything. Distilled water I can get. Here's a few pics.
