January meeting

I am pleased to announce that our January meeting will be held at Jofish in Petaluma on Friday, January 15 at 7pm. They are located at 424 Payran St., suite B, just down the street from McDonalds, Lucky, and Redwood Empire Gymnastics. Take the Lakeville / 116 exit off 101 just south of central Petaluma and head west on Lakeville. Right at McDs, next left on Payran and they're about 1/4 mile up on the left.

I've been by there a couple of times now and I am encouraged by what I see. I've met two of the three employees and hope to meet Ron (Niblit) this weekend. Setting up a reef store is a lot of work and takes time and what they've done shows a great deal of promise.

So come to the meeting, see the store, meet the crew and let's welcome Jofish to the north bay reefing scene!

Ken perfect timing as I was in there buying a couple of Cleaner shrimp for my tank and they asked about the meeting times. I also talked with niblit about the flats and told him to post which he did.

I also talked with a nice guy from Petaluma who has been reefing a while and hadn't heard about the club. Maybe we should see if we could post a flyer or card at the store to attract more people (although that would make winning the raffle harder) He was worried he wouldn't fit in but mentioned his large rainbow monti, a Sunset coral and others that he would be willing to frag I figured he would be great and we can always use another Petaluman:dance:

Hope you guys had a great meeting, I spent 4.5 hours yesterday on a support/conference call with a Microsoft Systems Engineer, and several of our own experts trying to solve a service pack issue. :uzi:I was in no mood for a drive to Petaluma after that.......
