There will be both freswater and saltwater raffles and prizes.

Marty, out Treasurer has invited us to attend. Since most of our members also have a freswater tank and a lot of there members have saltwater we should be able to meet a lot of new people and have a wonderful exchange of ideas.

Diamond State Aquarium Society

Hope to see everyone there.

Yes it has been brought up a few times. This meeting was set before we talked about a day change. Expect a poll on RC soon to pick the best date to allow for the best possible turn out. Also it was considered if we could occasionally have a meeting locations closer towards Middletown. That poll will happen before the Feburary meeting.

i remember ... it's the short term stuff i struggle with ... lol

Well he is about 18 months now and loves the tanks. he loves to sit and watch the fish. He calls the hermit crabs "bebe" and our yellow belly damsel "blue" and our Yellow Tang "Yellow" .. fitting names i think. We are working through trying to get him to stop hitting the glass to get the fishes attention.

Hmmm won't be able to make that one, I got a hockey game the day be4 n philly n that back home for the day on monday....ken if joe or another dover reefer goes bring that polyguard stuff or w/e its called and also ne cheato or w.e it is u got I know u said u had a few kinds so bring a little or a lot of everything...thanks!

David & Liz if you read through some of the top 10s in reef keeping mag you will find a lot of funnys refering to little kids and reef tanks. One parent shared an experience he had when he asked his little girl to feed the fish tank. He talks about trying to net out a PB&J sandwhich and pulling bread out of power heads.

Oh, Ok EMO,

you jogged my fuzzy memory. Now I remember. yup, i just put the phosguard i have left over on the the stand for you and will bring some greenery too for your fuge.

Great meeting. Lots of newbs won a lot of stuff. And then there was Andy! Him and his "I don't feel lucky" and then he wins a phosban reactor that had my name on it.

Ken did a presentation on building T5 lights. I think he blinded the lady in the front row. All I remember is her asking if they were bright and Ken turned them on. She was a little tanner after the demo.

There were door prizes, raffles, and member prizes.

Also Ed a member of the Freshwater club sells natural fish food with out all the preservatives and fillers: Tropical fish food

Coming Soon.
We will schedule the Feburary meeting soon. For Feburary we will have a mystery frag swap, previewing the new web site and forum, membership drive and a DIY exhibit. More details and the date and location will follow.

I had fun too, and a big bunch of snacks to eat as well. Thanks all for being a good audience! Marty and his lovely Wife always bring a nice buffet of treats provided by the DSAS for their meetings. Holding meetings in a cafeteria has it's advantages.

Al !! I'm really glad you picked up on Ed's fish food cuisine website. I had no idea he had one. You know, he always brings a box of vacu bags of flake food to every meeting, but the website really makes it more clear about the good stuff that goes into it. I got to get me some! I'll have to give him a call since, after all, he is local. Don't get much better than that.

Good Meeting all. it was fun.

Thanks Marty, and the DSAS for inviting us all.

Yeah, it turns out lady luck was on my side last night! :D

I have some of Ed's Saltwater flakes that I purchased from his site, and my fish seem to love them. They have never really seemed to go after other flakes but seem to love his.

Secondly for the price you pay you get so much food. I got two vacu bags, and when I opened one it was amazing how much was in one. I still have not even opened the second one yet!

Great meeting all and can't wait to see everyone at the next!
