Januray WCR club meeting

Happy new year everyone, let's make this new year the best year for our club !!! :celeb1::celeb1:

Meeting date: Friday the 14th
Location: My house in Windsor please PM me for the address.
Time: 7:00 pm

Format will be Texas Hold'em pokers no limit
Buy in $10-20 we can vote on how much at the meeting, half of the proceeds will go to our club fund, the other half will be divided among two or three winners depending on the size of the table. The first place winner will also get a frag of Miami hurricane chalice and other frags will be named latter.

We will also have a raffle so have some cash ready. We will have some nice chalice, zoas, and sps available. LFS or reefers (this is the right time to make donation for our raffle your donation will be greatly appreciated) Please PM me directly if you wish to make a donation.

I will have some cheese and crackers, and you are welcome to bring some munchies to share and BYOB.:beer:

At this meeting we will also talk about our club's direction and plan for other future events such as the regional and our very own frag swaps, bay area store tour, winery meeting event, coralReefecosystem BBQ bash meeting, helpful workshops meeting, and fun things like that. :smokin:

sounds great tom! I think we should get a head count for people wishing to play in the tourney, reason being there might need to be more than one table if there are more than 9-10 people wishing to play. I will be playing and so will my girlfriend.

Yeah I have two tables that can be set up for pokers with the green felt but what I will need are folding chairs. I only have about 8 chairs total.

You and me will be 2 so far, let start counting

I'll do my best to make it, it all depends on traffic. i get off work at 4:30 on Friday so SF to Windor i think 2 hours 30 min should be good...anyone in Petaluma wanna carpool? I need to make a meeting. I haven't seen you guys in a while.

Sadly, "publishing weekend" will once again get in the way of me attending our meeting...

However, sometime in the next week or so, I hope to frag a few of my SPS and then drop them off at Tom's "soonish" to be added to the club's frag tank...

Speaking of which, did any of the "maybe a tort of some sort?" frags I gave a few of you at the December meeting survive (and perhaps even start to grow) in your tanks?

Thanks nate, too bad you can't make it, hopefully you can make the next one. The semi-tort suffered a bit, it is hanging on though so hopefully. the rest of my corals are doing great so I am hoping it will come back and thrive.

The frag tank is ready so anything you have, please drop them off and I'll grow them out for the club.

Hey what do you think of bringing back Kens virtual tank tour thread again. I bet we all have cameras or iphones and we could see some of he members tanks. Plus it will motivate me to clean mine I know a couple of us would be willing to take the photos if needed but it would be a good exercise in photo postingfor those not comfortable doing that yet.

I think that is a good idea, we can even turn it into a contest so people will get even more motivated

I am not sure a contest will motivate maybe scare. I would like to see everyones tank with out any judgement so we can get ideas. A contest is fine to but maybe on best fish shot or coral or something like that.
I know I can win "messiest" or "most green polyps":lol2:
