Hello Luk,
remake the tank than size is a mammoth task! I imagine a lot of work waiting for you.
Good luck

Thanks, always nice too hear some people like the straight ahead shooting of the movies:)
Luc. Thank you for the many unique, informative/entertaining videos and I wanted to personally wish you the best of luck in your endeavor to rebuild this wonderful system ... I am confident you will have it become a better version of its former self and look forward to viewing its progress :)

Unbelievable, i'm sure you'll do the best.

Hi Luc,

Martin Lakin was over my place earlier this week (you visited his house, he's just set up a big reef tank), he said you were having issues with the ceramics, sorry to hear about that.

If you need any frags pop over and I'll give you some.

Good luck with the reconstruction of your reef, I am sure it will look even better than before! :)

Regards,

Tony

Hi Tony,i am not sure any off the problems can be linked to the ceramic's but this time i don't want to take a risk so all natural material;

Thanks for the frag offer, mayby next time i am in the Uk i come in too have a chat.

A small movie from the building, nothing special just an empty tank whit some live rock:)
I tried too make as many holes after the rock for my fishes, you can,t see this on the video,in a few days when new water is the tank i make another one from upstairs, now i have holiday:wavehand:
The tank looks very empty.
Mayby after a few days we change something, still time to do so,the real scaping comes whit the corals i hope later.

Hi Luc, thanks for sharing.
I can not wait to see the new aquarium. but do not fear that the maturation of the new tank will negatively affect the animals (corals).

when you're going to release the animals?

thanks

Hi Luc,

Hard work brushing the live rocks, but it really compensates in the end.
The layout of the rocks is very good.
It's a pity that Brazil is so far away from Belgium, because I would like to admire the Reef a lot of times live.
Congratulations and good luck!

Hey Luc!I read all of the thread today! You are the man!!!!

I was gutted when i reached the point that u announced the breakdown but on the other hand Its nice that I am going to follow you on this one from the beginning!!!

My 2 cents for the scape is to go even lower!I am a big fan of the minimal rock-work

Luc,
Thanks so much for taking the video and sharing your hard work with us. I really like the diverse way you built the new rock, with the "step ledges" on the left side, the interesting vertical columns in the middle, and the "layered ledges" on the right. Very inventive, and the open space will provide a huge pallet for your next masterpiece!

Watching with great interest,

I have had itt all and no i go back to the basic stuff,in my eyes the best,i never had any troubles using live rock,it contains stuff you never get into a tank using only ceramic or dead rock i think.

I have my angels too keep some pest animals away and the wrasses and other small fish love live rock to feed on.
luc .. why do you use live rocks ..

I prefer Dead rocks or ceramic's Because it more safe than live rock ...

This wil take some time,i have too run the whole cycle again,as soon i can't messure nitrite anymore i turn the valve open to the cellar tanks so the water slowly can mix again.
Mayby at the end off the week i can put some fish back into the tank.

I don,t have a lot off corals anymore, sold some and lost some.

It is my intention too start whit a lot of frags in this tank again so the corals can grow naturrally again, whit the big corals the tank would be full again in no time.

Nice butt, Luc!. :spin2:

Mo

Thanks Mike&T,i wanted more space for the fish and corals so i am happy whit it,i will add a few rock's somewhere i think ,layby a small bridge or a vertical pilar, mayby a reefbone,i still have the time ,nothing else to do.

Still thinking too replace the MH in the middle to the AI sol lamps but it's a difficult dissicion.

MH is now 4x400 watt and 8x pl 9 watt, mayby i replace it into 12x AI sol combined whit the 16x t5 80 watt.

Luc,

I always love looking at your thread and now it starts again!. Good stuff, mate!.

What are you running in the tank?. Phos remover, Silicarbon?.... It looks like 2 reactors?.

Keep it coming.

Mo

Luc, you're an inspiration,, ... amazing. I read your thread a few times and I'm very, very impressed.

number 1 in the world! my favorite reef tank.

Best of luck Luc! I hope everything goes as planned. I truly believe in your vision and am sure the tank will become better than it was! (which is a pretty tough act to match).

What fish/corals are going to be disregarded mainly?
