Hi Kevin, sorry for the late answer,

I do not test strontium, there is no acuurate test overhere.

I always had a very good reefer who fragged corals over the last 15 year in the area here.He always put sr in his system on a daily base.

I follow his recept min or less ,we take a look here at gorgonions, when you have too much the polips don't come open anymore. Also on some acro's you get some very long growing tips but they are really soft,if you touch them they dissolve.

Sr is expensive so manufactures of salt don't put too much in their mix, some salt's are allready too low when they are fresh.

It is always a big discussion here to put it in or not but i always believed in it.

From the reactor you only get some sr from the tube whit is filled whit coral grit,my two headtubes are filled whit hydrocarbonat and that is a clean material whitout sr in it.
Hi Luc

Do you test for Strontium?
How do you know how much to put in?
Will the Calcium carbonate (media from reactor) from the Calcium reactor also put the proportionate amount of strontium in?

Thanks

Kevin

wow Jawsee amazing, Have you ever had problems with whitespot in the tank, im sure you Quarantine all your fish but have you ever had a breakout in spite of quarantine?

Yesterday I visited Luc together with a friend of mine. We both took some shots which I compiled to a small video showcasing Luc's beautiful tank and the filtration room.

See for yourself :)
