Jawsee's Reef

Thanks Raed, you now these are my personal dreamfish so i am a happy reefer at the moment, they do very well.
Congratulations Luc!!! Best of Luck with them! Great that they already started feeding!!!

Hi,they will stay for about 6 a 8 weeks in a tank in the cellar, they are alone there whit no stress and i think this is very inportant for these fish,i transfer them to european time at a rate from 10 minutes every day.

I have a good relation whit a big wholesaler so they came in whit a lot off water(around 10 liter for each fish)and this is in my eyes also very important,it's a long yourney for these guy's,the water had a ph from around 6,7,so if they come in 2 liter or so you can imagine what the ph rate would be.

They had a bad time the first two days but after that they start feeding and now looking very well.
Nice what will be you quarantine procedure
I tried 3 non maid it
But all of them looked pinched behind the head

Yours looks much better

Hi,i never buy online fish or corals,it is not so common here and i prefer too see what i buy, whit these fish you can't offcourse,if you can get them you are allready lucky i think:p
Do you get your fish online or a LFS

10 days here and they really start eating different frozen foods, looks good:wave:

A small movie from the building, nothing special just an empty tank whit some live rock:)
I tried too make as many holes after the rock for my fishes, you can,t see this on the video,in a few days when new water is the tank i make another one from upstairs, now i have holiday:wavehand:
The tank looks very empty.
Mayby after a few days we change something, still time to do so,the real scaping comes whit the corals i hope later.

Hi Luc

Great progress made with the tank and the Femininus look gorgeous. One of my favourite Wrasse.

In the video, is the large vat full of fresh saltwater ready to fill the tank?
Did you scrub the live rock in saltwater?
How long did you leave the speedglue to set?
How long did you leave the tank before adding your first fish?

Thanks

Thanks.
Wow that looks awsome.

Hi Luc

In the video, is the large vat full of fresh saltwater ready to fill the tank? Yes it is,around 2000 liters
Did you scrub the live rock in saltwater? Yes,no sweet water offcourse.

How long did you leave the speedglue to set? Around 25 minutes.

How long did you leave the tank before adding your first fish? Nut sure anymore but i think after one week i set the fish back into the tank.

Thanks

Nav

Thanks

How are the Femininus wrasses, Luc?. Still going strong?.

Really nice tank for a 3 months old.
This is how the pros arrange their SPS corals in a new tank.

I take it you are still running all those kilos of GFO and the algae seems to be doing well in competing for the phosphates.
If I'm right this is a good example how good algae is at holding it's ground.

There is a scratch on the glass. Often it's caused by a razor blade. Grind the corners to a rounded edge and that problem is solved.
Conquest of Paradise seems to be on a good track here.

amazing video, thanks :) love the music too

so how do you like the LEDs ? would you advice them now after 3 months ? not counting electricity and everything else, would you say you are happier with LEDs ?

thanks

Top notch again, Luc.

It looks like you have added some new SPS colonies?. Did you take any precautions for pests, or just let the wrasses deal with any pests?.

When did you add the second Black tang?. Any aggression?.

How many Chaoti's do you have in the tank now?..... Your skills at getting these wrasses acclimated are amazing!.

Do you blow the rocks off, or just let the flow deal with it?. What in tank flow do you have?.

Well done!. Brilliant job!.

Mo

Thanks

Thanks, the LED's are good fos sure but my wife Anja did not like them from the start.
We always liked the bright light over a reef and whit led the light for our eyes is less.
Therefore i am now selling the led's and am going back too my old love ,the combi t5 whit the Metal Halides,it bring's back the sunsine above our tank.

Furthermore i am now heating my system allready whit 600 watt and the winter is still coming(remember i have more water in my cellertanks than upstairs)

Very well done Luc!

Thanks

Thansk Steeve,it's welcome these days here he:fun4:
So nice Luc, A pleasure for our eyes.

Hi Mo,

Thanks,no new ones added, some off them where in the cellar somewhere whitout great colors but are now improving.New corals i closeley give a good look and the rest is for the wrasses.

The second black tang was added soon after the first one,no agression but they where both very small, around 5 cm,they are now doing fine,no pair but mayby in time:eek:

Choati's in the tank are two,one became a male and he wiped out another female that was transforming into a male, the other one i losed whit all the works.

The femininus are doing great, next month they go upstairs.

In tank flow is one mp 60 and three tunze's from 30000 liter, ones a month i go around whit a streamer too bring some flow between some rocks.
Top notch again, Luc.

Today i moved the MH back to illuminate the tank together whit the t5 bulbs.

I removed and sold the led that was above the tank. They where good but is was not my kind off light.

Now i see the MH again the only thing i can say i missed this, now the tank is bright again whit a lot of light everywhere;)

A small movie, the first 2 minutes led whit t5,the last 2 minutes MH and t5.

very nice Luc! that LED experiment didn't last long!!! It will be very very hard now to convince you to try LED again!! Colors look much better now and more and more like what they used to be before the change.

wow amazing video, thanks for that, just saved me a couple of K wanting to run the same experiment here.

Luc, how do you attach those frags to the overflow box and the back glass ? epozy + superglue ? or do you have any other tricks ?

the tank is growing very very well, just as expected.
