Thanks you all guy's for your support,it has been very bussy days here, today the most angels and big corals moved too the uk and are swimming back into a 6 meter tank.
I am very happy whit that most off them stayed together.
I will follow the reefers world further offcourse and mayby in a few months mayby a sammller tank will be coming back but that's for later, first i must break the tank itself down by breaking the glass.:hammer:
The questions i will be answering later on,a few fish are still in the cellar tanks but at the end off the week everything will be away.
So take care and enyou this fantastic hobby, now i have some more time too read some good threads here and on other forums.

Luc and Anja. I implore you not to break the glass of your display ...

What will a few weeks of leaving it intact/empty hurt, while you take some time to truly consider all options wisely and without emotion ?!?

Give it until May, Luc, please. In the meantime, take some time to reflect on all the positive aspects/experiences/friendships/success youve enjoyed over the past few years ... Seriously, its understandable you and Anja are extremely disappointed, just let some time pass before commiting to any irrational/emotional based decisions.

Ive been quite busy lately, which is why I havent had the time to help determine the interactions/events/etc that caused this enigma. If you would please do me the honor of commiting to my advice of taking a couple weeks to fully examine your situation, I will commit, utilizing all of my vast knowledge/experience within this hobby/Marine Biology background, to helping you determine the cause of this catastrophe. Again, please Luc and Anja, give it a few weeks ... Youre too passionate/knowledgable/experienced to let something like this break you down, literally and figuratively. Lets work on this together, you will regret negative decisions made in haste :)

Best Regards,

Have to say a good point mentioned above. I too got out of the hobby a few years back and sold everything quickly. Even closed up the wall the display was in and went on with life. Now a few years later I'm looking to open the wall again and set up another system. If nothing else you might want to hang onto much of the equipment just to make absolute sure you are done. I once again am sorry the hobby lost its luster for you. We have lost one of our elite hobbyists!

ELITE is an understatement .. And this coming from a guy who is no slouch himself !

I'm still thinking about you guys, Luc and Anja, please do "consider, reconsidering" your decision :)

If nothing else, at least give it a few months before selling/breaking anything ...

I am sorry guy's but tomorrow the two last fish and the live rock will be away, everything is then solt, also the technical stuff.

The tank i will break down next week.

If i set up a new tank it will be a bit smaller again so i can maintain it a bit easyer, therefore i also selled all the equipment.

If i start again everything must be new again and will be different than the currennt stuff i used.

So mayby in a few months he:)

Thansk again for your kind words too all of you and like they say in the US,I'L be back again

Very sorry to hear of this. Your tank has been a favorite of mine and gave me a little push to get into this wonderful hobby. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Ok, hopefully they went to a viable system/environment ... As disappointing as that news is, my banking accounts thank you :D

Wish you, and Anja, the best of luck in your future ReefKeeping endeavors ! Goodbye, for now, Luc

The ReefKeeping World just lost one of its best ....

That was THE best tank I had ever personally seen, and with a great reefer and person behind it. I am sure you will miss it and be back sooner rather than later!

Yesterday I visited Luc together with a friend of mine. We both took some shots which I compiled to a small video showcasing Luc's beautiful tank and the filtration room.

See for yourself :)

WOW!

At 4:17 is that a basslet or a hogfish?
The tank is amazing!

It's so sad to hear about your tank :(. Enjoyed your youTube videos so much!!

But I'm sure you will be back...... waiting for your return! :)

4:17 = Liopropoma carmabi

It's commonly referred to as a Candy Basslet ...

Uncommon species (rare/expensive in hobby, due to logistics of collection practices) found in, select few, deep water Caribbean reef systems. "Frequently" witnessed, often times inverted, underneath extensive deep water cave/overhang formations in the Wild.

Most commonly collected, for the ReefKeeping hobby, amongst the deep Reef systems off the coast of the "beautiful/tranquil/unique", Dutch occupied/Leeward Antilles, island nations of Curaçao, Bonaire and Aruba ... In that order.

Curaçao being the top exporter/collection site; due to its housing of a specialized, deepwater research/collection submersible, which Ive personally had the great honor/pleasure of diving in ... When occupied by its 'venerable/master' captain, a man I revere/hold in high esteem, its a quintessential model of proficiency at specimen collection !
