JBJ NanoCube 24 DX 2006 It's HERE yippie!

Thank you RJ and gil716 :)

I will be taking pics later today after the lights come on and hopefully all the corals will open up.

I am kinda bummed out right now. Some of my Monti caps don't look to good right now they look like they are bleaching out. also my birdsnest & Monti digi is looking the same way. These are in the 85. Also my Yellow Tang is RIP now. I also am worried about the Candy Cane and Frogs Spawn. I worried about them while I was changing things out. Even though I did have them in tank water in the rubbermaid container. It took awhile as you can see to get this done. The water was SO cloudy that I couldn't tell what I was doing. I know the fish were in there and couldn't see them either. I am sure they were very stressed. I have tested the water and it looks OK.

In the Nano They still haven't opened up yet and the water is only about 75* I have also tested the water in it too. Seems OK also. The PH might be just a little low. So I have added a little buffer.

It might be a few days before I post some pictures and give everything time to settle in and open up. I really hope I don't have more losses. This is a bummer. :(

Sorry for your problems, Mary. Did your Tang just get too stressed out? Poor little guy, I know you must be heartbroken. I hope everything else recovers OK.

Ya, I guess this happens when you do too much to a tank. It is better if you leave it alone if all is going well. I hope I NEVER have to do this again. Once this is all settled, I hope everything will be OK.

In the 85, Now that I redone the rocks I know this will be better in the long run. Instead of the rocks being so packed, there is now room for more flow through them. Lots of little caves. It just looks kinda bare right now. Now, I will need frags to give it more color. I would like some more Acros and if the Monti's don't make it I really liked those too. I think the Candy cane and the frogspawn might pull through. I am keeping my finger crossed on these.

I had the yellow tang from the start and he added so much to the tank. I think the blue damsel misses it too. I got them at the same time and it was like they looked out for each other.

The Nano is looking better. The corals are still pretty much still closed. I went ahead and took a picture this evening.

RJ, Thank you :) That means a lot, Yours and Amanda's was the Inspiration to get me going !!!!

Since looking at all these Awesome Nano tanks in this forum, I am so glad that I joined in:D

The Eel only comes out in the am and evening, as well as throughout the night. He is still trying to find a way out I think, at least that is what it looks like he is doing.

I just ordered a few things from Drs. Foster & Smith's LiveAquaria.com.

1- Jawfish, Yellowhead (Caribbean)
2- Sexy Anemone Shrimp - Tiny
2- Bumble Bee Shrimp
2- Spotted Cardinalfish (Indo Pacific)

I have never had any of these and I can't wait !!!!!!

All will go into the Nano Except the 2- Spotted Cardinalfish and I am going to put them in the 85.

The Jawfish, Yellowhead (Caribbean) Is so Pretty

So far in the Nano's back chambers, this is what I have done.

1st- Chamber bottom part carbon pack, and above that the Fission Skimmer and I am now getting some skimmate collecting.

2nd - Chamber bottom Rock rubble and on top Cheato and a 10w halogen submersible egg light.

3rd - Chamber bottom 350 gph. pump that goes to the split return. right above it the stock pump that came with it 290 gph to that return. and a 100w heater.

I also have the new Surface Skimmer, clipped over the overflow.

I seem to have lots of flow. Hopefully this will be all I need.

I will take some pictures later to show :)
