JBJ NanoCube 24 DX 2006 It's HERE yippie!

Mary your tank looks AWSOME! Just a quick note on the bumble bee schrimp. They are very cool, but I had one and it liked to eat the feet off of my linkia starfish. I dont know if you have a star or intend in getting one. I just thought I would pass it along.

Hi Mary, my temps were at 82-84F while lights were on. I pulled the Rio 1400 & put the MJ 900 back and the temp today is 80.4F. I also need to get a 2nd fan for the lights. I'm thinking I'll get another 1200 and simplify my spraybar with less holes so I still get the circulation behind my future rock. I ordered a wave timer power strip & thought I'd plug in the 2 PH's to it with room for 1 more.

I read an article by Mike Paletta about water movement in reefs and he said it was one of the most overlooked yet important aspects of reefkeeping, so I'm having fun with it. LOL...The Tunze is supposed to ship Fri. I am so excited, got a call from Tampa Bay Saltwater today, they are shipping my 1st half of LR & sand a week from Sat!!! Got to have everything ready, can't wait. I'll figure out the camera thing this weekend & post some pics.

Ya, The toadstool has been doing that this week. From time to time it goes through this. I just have to use the turkey baster and keep the film blow-ed off. Then it goes back to it's happy self. It's just something it does. They are so pretty when they are fully extended and can be kinda ugly when they are not..lol

Mary, just an update on my reef temps. I purchased a wavemaker pro power strip & connected my main pump (Rio 1400) and my 1200 on the locktites & one more 900 just for additional movement. With all 3 the temp came down to 78 from 82 because the pumps are only operating for a short time, I guess they don't have time to get so hot. I didn't expect that but I'm excited about it. Just thought I'd pass it along.

LR coming Sat!!!!

All sounds good. I am glad the wavemaker made a difference in your temps. I can't wait to see what your LR looks like.
