Nice looking tank and stand. The thing that really catches my eye is the finish on the stand. Is that Epoxy, or some type of varnish?

Can't wait to see it come together more.

Thanks guys.
Couldnt go into too much detail with all the molding like I wanted to on the stand. I wanted an oversized stand that would still fit through the doorway so I opted for an older antique look. Maybe once we get into a house with french doors I'll build another and add alot more detail to the woodwork. Still turned out extremely nice though so. All of the stand is built out of redoak measuring 58"L x 31W"x 33"H. On the top of the stand I used a show glaze for bar tops. Kind of like a 2 part epoxy. The rest of the stand is done in Cabot varnish since it holds up well in marine/harsh environments. Both can be purchased at Home Depot.

Tank is 48"Lx 24"Wx 20"H. Tank was built by Miracles.

Really nice craftsmanship! Cant wait to see this tank up and running! The tank looks like the 70gal oceanic rimless tank i want so bad!

Thanks for all of the compliments! School has me swamped right now with finals being next week so I have been busy writting papers and studying. I've gotten the main equipment list complete though other than figuring out which lights to run over the main DT (MH vs. T5). My holding tank is crammed so I need to hurry and get this done. It's already taken longer than expected.

Tagging along also.

is that a pug? my wife wants one for Xmas.

Yeah he's a pug that we named Puggsly LOL. This was my wife's x-mas present as well. I regret buying her a pug because they are so hyper and always have to be under your feet. I shouldnt have given in over her whinning! But what can I say, she taught me well cause I have a new tank!
