Jebao DCP return pump?

I imagine the flow drops off quick after 3 meters, the chart only goes up to 3 meters so I'm taking a bit of a gamble with it, but at 3 meters it is down to about 7200 liters per hour. I'll be putting about 15' of head on it, so I guess we'll see how it does.

No reason to be sorry. I almost bought the wrong one myself. to be honest I am not sure the dcp sine wave is much better .

Difference is Sine wave motor.. (they are are sensitive to controllers like apex)

the housing is thicker from the images on fish street.

the controller tells % of power and amps pump uses (not confirmed accuracy)

The controller can be changed in 1% from 30% to 100%

From my understanding the company improved there product with each new model.. But the dcp is there first sine wave product... so time will tell..

can you confirm the increments in flow? I thought it started @ 65% (fish-street says it does)

are you saying the DCP controller can go down to 30%?

I was debating between the 5000 and 6500 for my 90 gallon reef and 36 gal sump, with 5 ft of head pressure I'd like to be able to run it below 50% to keep it silent from what I hear.

I have the 6500 on my 75g. Only been running for about a week or so. So far I run it at 69% and I cant hear it run at all. I have it split off to circulate my fuge as well as return to the display. I wouldnt get a 5000 for your 90. 6500 or maybe even the 8000.

when the pump is first turned on.. It goes thru some kind of test. the screen will flash ERROR For about 5 seconds then will will 1 2 3 4 5 up to 30..

When set it to a level you want then turn it off or hit the pause button it will start back at 0 and ramp up to your set flow..I think its a very nice pump.Mine you can not hear run and im now running it at 70% it draws watts .

Wonder if the DCP-18000 could replace the MD-70RLT on my Bullet Buckett Skimmer ex large.....The Skimmer requires a pressure pump...Any input would be great....Thanks

I can confirm it absolutely can go down to 30. And increases in increments of 1.

thank you so much guys, I just ordered

Thank to everyone for the info in the thread. Just ordered the 6500 for my 90 gallon and 30 gal sump. Will be moving the sump into the basement and plumbing in 2 40G breeders into the system. This pump should be perfect for the project from what i have read here. Plus, I am super happy to replace my not-so-quiet Lifegard Aquatics Quiet One 4000 that i am currently using as my return.

Potentially a dumb question but I'm soon going to plumb one of these from the basement up. My return line is 1 inch but the outlet on this pump is clearly bigger. It won't hurt anything reducing it like that, correct?

Which pump are you planning on using? I just got my DCP-18000 hooked up last night. I'm guessing it is moving about 1000 gph, going up about 11' and over 6'. That said I'm using 2" pipe.

Only using 1" you will loose some flow out of it.

restricting the outlet will not hurt it at all. Just puts head pressure on it which reduces potential flow. Never restrict input.

Ok thank you. I have the dcp 8000 sine wave. It's running about 10 ft up I believe.

I recently purchased the DCT version and didn't see much about the DCP model. Is there much of a difference other than the controller? Am I missing out on much?

You want to use 1 1/2 .. reducing it to 1 inch will work but give you less flow and higher power consumption..

also do NOT reduce the intake for sure..

That would be ok but my problem is that the bulkhead on the tank is 1 inch. So I would have to start bigger than 1inch,m then reduce it to 1 1/2 then reduce it to 1 inch right at the tank. Would that be ok ?
