Jebao WP25 Information

That seems to be the question everyday (or a variation of it).

I don't think so, but it depends on what you have in the tank, If you have a lot of rock work , blocking and breaking up the flow or if it is a minimalistic tank with a lot of open space.

Also what mode you are going to run them in.
If they are going to be in sync or not.

I have a lot of rock work in my tank, so the flow gets broken up and bounced around by the rock.

I have a WP-40 and a WP-25 running at about 50% speed in Anti-sync.

I have a 55 gallon. I'd not hesitate to run two wp25s in it, but placement is crucial. If the streams collide directly it'll spell trouble for whatever is on the sand right there. In my 55 I have my wp25 at one end and a koralia 1050 at the other. Took a week of tiny adjustments to get them to where they don't dig a hole in the sand to the glass with flow, and stop flipping my acans over. It's perfect now. The flow in the top half of the tank where the acros and montipora are is random and insanely turbulent, yet the sandbed is calm as can be. Lps and zoas are happy as can be an polyp extension on the acros is wicked good. Noticeable improvement in growth and color since I did this

This is what i do except some times i will walk by and turn them on full blast and other times ill walk by and put them in low or elsa. The WP40 goes into night mode but i took the night mode sensor off the WP25 as its now inside a cabinent (and would stay in permanet night mode). If i didnt epoxy everything down and or had sand in my ank...it would be constant bull (***t) going on in my tank. As it is though, its working so far. My fear is that wheni get around to placing corals near where the wp40 actually is....its going to be a deal killer. Either im going to have to leave that area empty of corals or do something stupid like point it straight up or straight into the glass or something (which defeats the prupose). A WP 25 is a little easer to work with. While the wide path of the wp40 definately gives you nice waves and more over all circulation, you can really aim the WP25s. My guess is ill have a corner and about 15% of my tank that i just wont be able to put much in at all.

On a 90, having one of each is at times too much, at times just the right amount but its ever not enough. I can't imagine 2 WP25s not being enough for a 55g.

Just purchased a wp25 for a 24x24x14 35g that I'll be running a minimal amount of sand in, hopefully all goes will. I'm going to point a koralia 240 at it. Any suggestions for my tank size?

You're going to need a dimmer unless you plan to point it at a rock or you'll have to run the only wave mode that allows speed control.

i have a 4 months old Wp25 and recently bought a new wp 25. turns out the power lost is quite alot. probably 25-40% power lost.

What do you mean by power lost? As in the new controller you can dial down the power 25-40% lower? Or that over 4 months the wp25 has lost a lot of its power?

power lost as in over the past 4 months, w1(s1) on both pump are no longer the same. the older is weaker.

Have you cleaned the older WP-25 lately?

forgot to mentioned i took it apart to clean every part of it before coming to that conclusion.

Weird, first time I heard of power loss even after cleaning. Did you brush the inside of where the magnet goes in and the magnet itself?

Everytime I clean, I have to turn everything down or it's a sandstorm.

yeah i took it apart and took out the impeller and brushed every part i could and also soaked them in vinegar too. don't ask me why i did this but i also ran them outside water and the new wp25 was making loud noises and fast impeller movement (h1) but the old wp25 is softer and not as fast imepller movement (also h1)

i do love the jebao wp25/40 (big fan) but i seriously hope its just a 1 pump thingy. i cant imagine having to replace them not because they spoilt, but because they simply get too weak.

I can't imagine why would get one 1 weaker unless maybe the first one you got was an earlier generation with a weaker magnet or impeller?

When I cleaned mine after 1 months use I notes a %10-20 power increase in my scientific before and after "hold your hand in front of it" test. I know you cleaned yours but is it possible some slime hid from you inside the impeller housing? I had to use a little circular brush to clean mine.

I got a new wp25 yesterday, it worked for about 5 min then it stopped. Now the controller has a one red, one blue and one green light flashing! Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
