Jebao WP25 Information

Sacohen - Since you are already in contact with them can you verify what size tank that is in the video. I already have two of the 40's but may put these in my frag tank.

I got some info on the Jebao WP25 directly from Jebao.

This is from Wystan Jebao...

He included a picture and a video.
The WP40 is on the left and the WP25 is on the right.

Here is a video from their testing.

Well guys, just for fun I'm going to blow my own horn here. Back on 4/8 at 7am in the WP40 thread, in post #2235, I said:

"I'm happy with my pump. And if the WP25 is physically smaller than the WP40, I'll probably buy 5 or 6 for my 4 tanks. I know the 'data sheet' that has been posted shows the WP40 and WP25 are the same size... but don't believe everything you read on the internet. I have reason to believe it will be smaller and that the data sheet was either an accidental (or maybe deliberate) mistake. We'll see when they come out in... ?"

And now that I've seen it, I need 6 of them!

And ryan1985... you are right on the money. Between EverGrow's IT series leds and Jebao's WP wave makers, Eco Tech has to be looking at some very serious loss of market share coming in the next 6 months. Anybody want to bet on the price of an MP40 by the time MACNA gets here next Fall? :wavehand:

I held off on the 40, I think I'll be getting at least 1 or 2 of these though if they stay around the $50-$60 shipped mark

I am hoping that since the details we got about the size were so far off the mark that maybe the pump is more powerful than the 3000l/h that was stated.

I think you are right. The video proves the flow to be much stronger than 3000l/h.

man so stock..... all i know is im glad i didnt buy an mp10 or mp40.... for the price of a wp25 ill buy two, one for used on my cube one for back up....... oooohhhh so glad i didnt bite for that over price stuff......... OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHH SOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD.....!!!!!!!!

Nice about to order a Wp40 for the 100 gal and now I'm gonna get two of these for the back wall. Talk about hole in one. I think I should prob hold off on the 40 to save on shipping.... Ahh screw I it's cheap enough as is LOL.. Thanks for the info OP.

I apologize if this has already been stated but here goes I hope that we can buy them directly and not through a 3rd party as the WP40's are, so there will be a better chance at some CS and not the hooey that is going on now with the WP40.
I have a 120 tank and building a 40 breeder so I am in for several of the WP25's.

Jebao isn't going to sell them direct unless you are buying volume quantities. One of the last things Jebao wants at these kinds of prices is dealing with customer service issues. They offer dealers great pricing and very good margins and expect the dealers to take care of customer problems. So buy from a distributor you trust to take care of you. And I'm fine with that philosophy when I'm paying about 20-25% of what Tunze is asking. Or 15% of what Eco Tech is getting. I fully expect Eco Tech and Tunze will lose market share. And the market overall will grow as Jebao brings in new economy class customers. What do you think Eco Tech will be selling MP40's for at MACNA in the Fall?

Jebo have been improving good time !! this is to show the Tunze and Ecotech time to wake up !!!!

Like the LED trend, instead of lowering the price for existing models, Ecotech and Tunze will probably introduce new models at lower prices or more features at the current price. It has been more than 3 yrs with the current models of MP10 and MP40. Time for innovation and improvement.
