Jebao WP25 Information

my wp25's in my tank never had that problem. I am also soaking a new wp40 in a 5 gal pal, ran it for about 3 hours then unpluged it to go to work, just got home and pluged it back in and it is still set on else mode the way i left it

My wp25 on W1 mode. Control knob turned all the way to the right.
30g Deep blue frag tank. (non reef ready)
Nice rolling wave on the surface.

I don't have my WP25's yet, they are on their way. But my WP40 doesn't have that problem and I haven't read about anybody else having that problem.
You sure your cat didn't step on the controller? :lol2:

Seriously though, has anybody else seen this issue? Steve, you beat me to this by seconds! So you have heard of this before?

Yeah I do remember a couple of people mentioning that in the WP-40 thread, not that many that is seems to be a perpetual problem, but it was mentioned.
I don't feel like going through 114 or so pages to find the post right now.

henrystyle; contact whoever you got it from and see if they can do anything about replacing it.

Well it happened with mine last night. Kinda sucks for me because I travel alot and if that happens while I'm away, I will have water leaking.
No cats! lol. My controller is mounted against my wall...
Woke up this morning to all my clocks flashing. Thats how I know the power went out while I was sleeping.

For your peace of mind and for our knowledge base, do some research.
Try unplugging it and see if it changes again. Maybe try both very short power off (like as long as it takes to unplug and plug back in) and longer off periods. If it does switch modes again, try it in other modes and see what it does.

BTW, nice tidy set up. I want so bad to switch to a rimless tank. But that's not easy with a 180g tank. I'm considering building one myself. But a replacement for my 55g with something around a 75g-90g home built will be first. I did my frag tank a year ago, but at 10" deep, it's a no brainer!

Open a support request with them.
Eric is pretty good about supporting his customers.

It is either the pump or the controller that is not working right.
My guess is the controller.

They may take care of it and send you the new 1F controller.

Just gotta warn you that there was one time where someone was told that the controller is not covered only the pump.

I had a controller replaced by them without a problem.

Don't mention that you think it's the controller or the pump, just tell them what you said in the first post here and see what they come back with.

FS covers everything except the light sensor for six month after purchase.

That's the way it should be, but I know there was a post in here or the 40 thread where someone was having a problem and FS told them the controller was not warranted.

Again, I've only heard about it that one time.

that tank looked more like a 40B than a 75 not very high but still nice action. nice size what is controlling it?

Im confused by their website. If I oder today, i can lower the intensity correct?

If you order from FS today you will get the new controller where you can adjust the intensity only in W1 mode. The variable speeds S1, S2 and S3 has no effect in other modes.

I have seen this happen on the wp40's I have when they were dimmed to low.
