Jebo 520 skimmer thread.

dhnguyen:
I have a 30gallon +15gallon refuge. I could throw it in my refuge right? I don't currently have a skimmer, and don't want to do a whole lot of diy... but how much effort is it reallly.... to "throw a needle pump" up in there?

It turns out Aquatraders still hasn't shipped the 520's I purchased on December 1st....

I've emailed them but of course no response this time of year.

White PVC is what I used, Almost finished Sherm, if my uniseals ever get here It is going to be three Gen X 1000 Needlewheels in recirc through the base and the stock input will now be the feed line off a venturi style pump

Ok I ordered mine.

Guy lives apprx. 25 miles away I should reciev it in 2 days bought off ebay ofr 80.00 total. No pick up :(

I actually downsized. That 520 is probably to big

I went with the Jebo 180 with a AP1500 pump

A 300w heater

and a Ap3500 return pump all for 70.00

Ok check out my gallery - just added a few quick shots of my mods!

Hope to have it running soon. I will try to get some better shots of it later this week.

You do know that the JEBO 180 is not the same skimmer design as the JEBO 520 right? The 180 is pretty much a Sea Clone clone so... Don't expect any spectacular performance from it. IF you mod the AP1500 pump with a needle wheel impeller, it will do much better.

I wouldn't use the 180 on anything bigger than your 60g tank either.
