Thanks Jeff and Jay. I'm getting there.

Mini update: Not much accomplished.:( I came to the realization again that plumbing takes a REALLY long time. So far tonight, I redid the system drain lines and T'd them together. I also put a T in with a reducer down to 1" that'll be my skimmer feed line. Just waiting on my sump to finish the last bit there.
I started on the return lines. I'm T'ing every pair together and running one line to each set. The 2 paired lines from the top 4 returns will be T'd together again and run down in a single line from the RD system return pump. The other 8 lines will get paired down to 4 and run to the OM 4 Way that'll sit behind the tank on the right side. I'll end up with a few more elbows running it over there, but I'll be able to access it for servicing. Won't be much for updates until this all get's finished(not much to take pics of), but I'm hoping my sump will be ready this weekend and I can finish it off and get water in this beast.

Scarey thing is that tank looks small in that room

Yeah, well you've seen the place, and it's not exactly small!

How you get your sump so quick. keith is probably waiting as i change my mind quite a bit. I'm seriously contemplating seeing how much more a 120 would be.

This will more than likely be the last tank i buy so i want to make sure it's "The One":0

Well, I haven't got it yet, but crossing my fingers. I talked to Keith and asked if he could have it done soon. He had hoped to knock it out last weekend now that his tools/shop is at his place, rather than his brothers. He didn't get to it, but said he'd work on it this week. I told him if he couldn't get it done, since I had a tight time frame, I'd find someone else. He said he'd fit it in.

Check and see if he's ordered the glass. He might have it already, and that would settle the matter. If not, I'd definitely go 120. It's a great size tank. My 60g cube just didn't give me many options as far as aquascaping went, and because I wanted a sand bed, it really limited the flow options.

I think he might have ordered the glass and that would seal the deal even though you need 2 of the same pieces. how would a 3x2x2 tank look?

3x2x2 would look nice as well, but I don't see how that helps? Either way you'd be chucking 2 panels and could keep the rest. Maybe thickness, I guess. May need thicker glass to go 4'. Don't know though.

Was just thinking it gives me an extra foot without going to big.the one rafael sold is close to that

IMO, it's better than the cube, but the 4' would be even better. Really though, it's a personal preference, and has to take in things like placement contraints, the wife factor, etc.

Actually wife is very flexable. If i wanted a 120 she would be cool with it. She would rather have me go smaller. but would not give me grief at all. Maybe i will shoot Keith an email and just ask.

Wouldnt think 3x2x2 would be much more$$$. since back pain would be regular glass just the front starphire would be the biggest $$.

BUt i would also have to build a stand and canopy and i would imagine that is not cheap. what would i do for lighting?
Decisions, Decisions

Like I mentioned earlier, the thickness of the glass might change. If it does, it's all new glass. Talk to Keith and go from there.
As for lighting, a pair of Lumenarcs, and possibly VHO's or T5 actinics. Depends on what, if anything, you have now that you could use on the new tank to keep the costs down.

My wife's final comment before she turned in, "Hurry up and get water in that thing." That was preceded by, "Why does it take you so long to do the plumbing? Does it take everybody else so long?"

 They just don't understand :D

Yeah i have 1 full lumenarc now, which i believe is good for 24" wide? i have always wanted to do VHO's with MH. but never had the right set up for it. Think 2 lumenarc minis with VHO?

Yeah $$ is always my biggest issue:( But if i was able to do a 3x2x2 i would def take my time and just have locals help with stand, canopy. I have all equiptment i would need minus lighting

Then i could do a Build thread in the Nano section:)

I know where it shows avg per day. T's 3 post a day avg kills me:)

I wont tell you who has the highest Avg, but its not I

I would imagine that it's GSMguy, 20+, but I don't know. If you hit the search button above each post next to the profile and PM buttons, you'll get a full list of posts. Then, just add them up.

I think I have the most per day among locals

Thats from all those unwanted's :D

What, the Planaria? Can't wait until I'm able to move the coral out, dip them, then I'm gonna do a levamisole treatment to that system and see if I can't salvage the rock. Don't know that I'm gonna use any of it, as I've got quite a bit of new rock, but it would be nice to recoup some of the $. Just want to be able to do it without the guilty conscience.
