Jim's 140g Slice of the Ocean Upgrade

Very nice!

Would you mind taking a picture of the whole setup? I am thinking about ordering a DSA 110g or 140g, but can't decide if I want the extra height. I think you are the only person on here with their model 140!

Thanks!

Sure, what do you want a picture of?

My bad, I just realized the first photo is the 140g. I thought it was the 90g.

If you have a far away picture of the whole setup that would be great. I'm trying to get a feel for how big it will look in our room.

Good job on the scape and rockwork. It looks like the 90 was a rock mess. But you did very well in this new setup and I agree with you on the SoLs....I had 5 and sold them and switched to the ebay Chinese blackboxes as most ppl were praising them and......I hate to say it but they (3 units compared to 5) are doing my tank more than the sols did.....

Jim, I will be doing almost the same thing. Ordered their 140 gallon pro. Upgrading from a Red Sea 250 max. Main tank around 55 gallons, 65 total. I have never hooked up an aquarium with a sump, overflow or reactors. I would love to know how you did it. Photos would be great. I did buy a protein skimmer. But have not yet purchased a sump. The cabinet you purchased is much nicer than the one I chose. And the tank is 5 feet long. Do you have a glue you recommend? And how did you manage to get 3 clowns in one tank to get along?

Thanks for the reply: This tank has evolved quite a bit since that post and is now combined with a 300 gallon tank and a fish room!

Here is the link to the new thread:

The 3 clowns were pretty lucky but in the wild pairs are often found with a "maid" that's incharge of the eggs.

My favorite glue is BRS extra thick mainly for the price.

Check out the other thread and post there and I would be happy to help you out with whatever you need.
