Getting excited?...

Damn right they are. go sharks! I remember watching the game when they went down 2-1 in the second and my heart dropped. good thing roenick to the rescue!

Hey Jim, Im all caught up, looks like Ive missed some pretty good times, Just wanted to say looks real nice, love the caves in your rock work, the Sohal is sick and the plumbing is clean, When are you going to start to drop the corals in? lets see some FTS,

blood hound gang
skankin pickle
flogging molly

Thanks Anthony!!!

I'm not sure about when I'll start stocking corals. My wallet is a little upset with me, and I have my girlfriend coming into town next week for 10 days. I'm gonna be pretty occupied for the next few weeks, so I figure nows a good time to let the fish settle in and the tank mature. I'm not going to be around much while she's here, so I would hate for things to start going south while I'm not paying much attention to the system.

I'll probably start to add some stuff after she leaves. I'm thinking the first few weeks of May, my tank will start to see some corals.

Until then, I've got a few little things I'm gonna do like build a screen for the top, build a stand for the chiller under the tank and also a small stand for my skimmer.

It'll happen soon though :D

Don't be such a stranger around these parts bro!

Jim

You're makin me hungry, Jim :D

Chiller - I don't think you should put it inside your stand (if that's the plan). I did that in my last tank, and the chiller never turns off. The hot air blowing out warms the sump, kicking in the chiller. vicious cycle.

Yeah, she knows about the tank for sure. But she HATES everything about this hobby

She calls it my "stupid fish tank" :lmao:

We gotta find a way to get her interested.
How do your close reefing freinds wives and girlfriends feel about the hobby? If she sees other women interested, she might follow along. :)

I grilled that up a few weeks back, and it was awesome looking, I had to shoot it :p

Sounds like you better buy what you want before you get a ring then!
My wife likes the tank, but doesn't care for the time or $ spent on it. The, uh, recent upgrade to my frag system has caused a little trouble, as I, uh, have been spending a wee bit too much time with my fishies.:o

Part of my plan master plan is to get her to meet some of the local guys I've become friends with and their wives. But when she lived here with me I really kept to myself with regards to the local community. In a way, her being gone has opened the door for me to go out and meet more locals.

The bottom line is that she loves to travel. Thats all she ever want to do. Travel. My fish tank is a big PITA to her because my excuse is always: "I can't go to the East Coast for week honey. Who will watch my tank?"

Plus, she sees how much time I spend with it, and online and would much rather me spend that time with her.

Did you say that you were going to be putting the chiller under the stand?

Yeah, there is a gap back there where I can get good ventilation. Its hard to explain, and I know the concern is that it needs air circulation, but I've got a couple of ideas that may work. I will try it, and if it works, great. If not, its only a coule of 2x4's wasted :)

Get this baby all up and running with all the equipment I want, then I can just add corals as time passes :D

Hows that baby coming along now?
