Yeah, I think it would be very excessive.

The main thing is that the needle valve can be replaced, so the set will last as long as I have it.Oh yeah, and its cool as hell :P

Do I "need" it? No. A less expensive model will work fine as long as I don't mess the needle valve up.

But some people just replace the whole regulator every couple of years anyways.

Not sure yet. I really want it, but I have also commited a lot of money to other parts of the tank. I may just get a gen-x or something like that and spend the extra cash on livestock :D

I definitely want to see the Lineatus pair in action!

That is one i want for sure probably just a male. Max's flame pair sure look nice also.

No way!! I've actually heard some pretty bad things about those units..... Maybe its an elos?????

Yeah, the lineatus pair will be ordered next Thursday :D

I like the HFW too. I may get one of those too :eek2:

Nice!

How are the HFW care level. Easy-difficult?

Coming along nicely Jim!

You guys have the biggest tank threads. I sometimes forget whose I'm reading!

Jim, that Elos regulator setup looks awesome. If you don't want to drop that much coin, I've got an essentially new Milwaukee unit that is now available as I've got my other back from storage.

Can't you replace the needle valve on most(if not all) regulators?

As far as I know, you cannot. But I have never owned one. This is per my conversation with Jesse at Elos.

I know you can on the M3 regulator, as I had to replace a NV on one of mine a few years ago, and I'm pretty sure you can on the Milwuakees as well. Maybe on some of the other euro regulators the NVs are built in; I'm not sure. Regardless, the Elos CO2 stuff looks to be top quality (like the rest of their product line :D )

:hmm5: WOW. I just went through your whole build or should we call it that:lol: . Let see what this thread covered....Sports, Women in sports(I'm sorry hot women in sports), cars, music, self portraits, girlfriend and dream girlfriends, food and a few minor discussions on a reef tank.:p

Looking good Jim. I really like the way you did your manifold.

Trying to catch up, nice tank shot and man i need to get into sales or something with all this money you've been dropping lately haha. How
the Hawaiian cleaner? I had two cleaners in the past both only lasting about 6 months. Never had a Hawaiian one though. Only got them to try to save it from local pet club which had them in tanks by themselves and knew if wasn't going to last long. With all these big fish i have now i've been considering trying again.

If that's the case, then I see no need for the elos :) That was just my impression I got from Jesse. I'm gonna grab Jt's next week :D

There's plenty of reef related discussions everywhere else. This is more of a 'Things we love' thread, with a build thrown in for good measure!:D
