Yeah, I think it would be very excessive.
The main thing is that the needle valve can be replaced, so the set will last as long as I have it.Oh yeah, and its cool as hell
Do I "need" it? No. A less expensive model will work fine as long as I don't mess the needle valve up.
But some people just replace the whole regulator every couple of years anyways.
Not sure yet. I really want it, but I have also commited a lot of money to other parts of the tank. I may just get a gen-x or something like that and spend the extra cash on livestock
