I thought the Magnetic could fire them i just coulnt think of why they wouldnt!

PaulErik is darn good. One of the few people i really respect on here about lighting especially SE bulbs. Even when i had some SE questioned i asked Hahnmeister and he said to contact PaulEric! Hahn knows DE and T5 darn well.

So how are they Super blue? Sanjay is February said they are the bluest bulb on the market!

I cant decide if i want to try anoth BSJ or get a Female flame wrasse with my supermale?

Yeah, for sure, Dude knows what he's talking about!

These bulbs are super blue!! Crazy blue!!!

I hope the results are good!

The BSJ are great fish. I just hear they jump all the time. Even with a cover, they'll find their way out. Dunno though. Never had one.

The female would be a nice little addition!!

I was checking out Mark's male tonight. Amazing fish! So vibrant!!!

Sanjay has never tested the Helios 250 watt version in SE. He said he would look into them though.

Good to have you swing by tonight Jim. Its always a good time.

Got it! Thanks!! I'm sure it will come in very handy!! Now I need a Mg test kit :)

Davey, when the new skimmer comes in you gotta stop by and check these out! The color is great! I like :D

Mark, absolutely!! Thanks for having me!

Yeah, they're looking good. I like blue. They are definitely bluer than the hammy 14'k's. If they yeild good growth, I'll be stoked :D

yeah, I dont know where Fragfarmer is getting there info. On the website it says they have more par than a Radium. they wrote Acccording to Sanjay's test, these actuallly have more Par than radiums.

What test? Sanjay has only tested the Helio DE bulb and it is no where near the Radium in Par. It has a bigger Blue spike though for sure.

Even the XM 20K SE on magnetic has better par than the Helio DE.
But That XM is pretty darn dim looking especially if you compare it to the Radium.

Is the helio pretty bright?

I know some people run the helios in the 400 watt version over rdiaums.

Glad you like the helios Jim. I really liked the colors I got from my DE when I was running them.

IME, The helios are bighter than the XM'x though

Davey, If you got to sanjay's sight and put in the spectral plots for 400 watt radiums abd 400 watt helios, The radiums have a ppfd of 147 and the helios have a ppfd of 149.

Just so you guys all know, I've been testing my water for the past 3 weeks using the elos vial to measure the water, not the syringe!

Needles to say, I know now why calcium was so low (it really wasn't), and now I know my alk is too high
Jim, are you saying use the syringe, not the line on the glass vial for the Elos kit?

I was noticing as well that the line on my KH vial was much lower than the actual water line when I used the syringe. I hope the syringe is the way to go...since that is what I'm dosing against.

Yeah, the syringe is the accurate measurement. There was a discussion in the elos forum a while back I guess. Jesse explained than the syringe is the way to go :)

The 5 ml line on the vial is definitely lower than than what comes out of the syringe.

As a result, my params are jacked :(

CA 500 DKH 11 (in reality)

According to my tests before:

CA 375 DKH 9.5

Sucks :(

Yes, syringe -good; vial bad ;)

Is the line on the vial a mistake? Is that going to be corrected?

So Jim - who's the new chick in your avatar? :p

The vials are massed produced, so I imagine that they are not going to be made anymore accurate....

Who? That girl?

Its J to the B..... Jessic Biel :D I'm a HUGE fan ;)

Sounds like someone else made the same mistake you were making Jim. ;)

I don't use ELOS. Was just wondering if ELOS, being a company with a good rep, will change this instead of telling their customers "to use the syringe"

J to the B - yummy :) Isn't that JT's woman? Sorry, Jeremy, not you - the other JT (J. Timberlake) :lol2:

Really? Ever seen "London"? If not, rent it and watch it  You'll LOVE it ;)

Terry, I think I heard that some where, but I don't keep up much on celebrity gossip. I prefer ESPN and reef central for my major media intakes

Jim - enjoy your days of ESPN while you can. Wait til your honey is back, and you'll be watching all the gossip as I do :lmao:, which isn't too bad sometimes. There is some nice eye candy ;)

There was a big confusion when Elos started putting lines on their vials. I jsut wish they would go back to the vials wish no lines at all.
