Tomorrow I'm going to pick up a 180G AGA Reef Ready from another member of reefcentral (bag151) who upgraded to a 300+. I asked a friend today what it would take to get a custom steel stand (40" high x 24" deep x 72" wide) built with hangers for cabinetry and leveling feet. I should know what it'll take by tomorrow.
I'm also picking up the sump that was used with that tank, it's a large Precision Marine sump, a nice companion to the PM 24" fuge that I've been using as a sump on my 72 bow.
Right now, my equipment list looks like this...
I'm going to use the current T5 fixture for only Actinic lighting after I get some halides. It's only a 24" deep tank, so I'm not sure if I want to go all the way to 400's, but something tells me I will. I like not using a chiller though and our house is always 73F.
So, I've got about 100lbs of rock in my current system and 80lbs of sand. As far as livestock goes, I've got (I can get names, but I'm pretty tired now)...
Here are some shots of the current setup (pictures are a few months old)

How it looked back last October
I don't have a good recent picture with the nice varieties of coral I've got now, but this is how it all began when I used to listen to the employees a "highly reputable" LFS about equipment instead of researching myself. I've still got that Coral Life PC Fixture, I think I'll use it as supplemental to my TX5 until I get halides. Besides, it's got some nice moonlights.
