yes it is! it's a pro-6500 model... e-mailed the compagny and they told me it's 25 years old

I love old skimmers, hate when when people say they dont work and better to be used as door stoppers. I have a Berlin XL I want to modify to increase its performance.

we found the type of wood (lime-tree) in a lumber place and is really cheaper making the air stone ourself!
at the store it's like 5$ for 2 airstone, I can make 12 with a 4$ plank!!!

our clownfish lay eggs every month... here's our firts attempt to hatch the fry...

sadly the fry died on day 2.. we were not enought equip...

so we got reading more about breeding clownfish and got some equipment:

the tank for the rotifers:

the phyto reactors to feed the rotifers:

we have to get a 10g to connect to the main tank for the next babies...
and a 5g to hatch brine shrimps too...

anything we are forgetting?

Thinking of getting a sea hare to control my hair algae problem...
is there a specific species to get? are they reef safe?

or should I go with turbo mexicain snails?

Dear husband brought home a digital magnifier that he used at work to make welding on electronic parts.

it looks like this:

it magnifies 200x... but has just a 2megapixel, so it's not great resolution...
it's quite difficult to focus and when there's too much light it's a blur...

but I manages to get those pics of the aquarium with it:

Amazing tank! You'll have to keep us posted on the clownfish breeding. I'm interested in trying that in the future myself.

And that microscope is a great idea! I'm sure I'd play with that thing for hours. Thanks for sharing the pictures!

for the CF breeding, we postponed it for a little... reading about it we dont have the space for all the tnaks and things we need for doing it right... but eventually we will

the digital magnifier is really cool to play with.. but it's really frustating to get a good focus.. and you have to be able to seen the computer screen at the same time you are manipulating the camera
and you have to put it on corals that are near the glass because you wont have the macro effect if it's far (10 inch max)
and that thing is not pricy; about 100$ (even less maybe on ebay)

We have 4 green clown gobies in the tank... 2 of they lives in the staghorn coral.

today I noticed this:

eggs!!!

we already have clownfish pair that are laying eggs every months and now the gobies??

Makes me wonder if I would have ever even noticed those in my own tank. Very cool find though. Any plans for them in the future? By the way, always love seeing picks of your tank.
