HOw are you liking the evolution 3g so far? does it cover the 36" spread well? Also, are the fans on all the time like on the original evolution or just at certain times during the day? nice build and nice corals.

thanks guys! im loving the leds, it covers all over and there are no dark spots. the fans are usually on when the lights are on. i only wish there were more blues than whites and also the fans are quite loud.. other than that, they are awesome!

so here's an update on whats been going on with the tank! First off, I'd like to thank Mike (thegrun) for making me a shield for the LED fixture, im no longer blinded by the light!

Again, thank you Mike (thegrun) for all your help in making me the shield, its looking great!

more to come soon!

I would replace the zip tie with a hose clamp but it looks awesome. My tank is almost identical 36x20x20 and I'm amazed with your light coverage(love the shield). The corners of your tank do you have access to a par meter?
Tank looks awesome! Did you decide on a skimmer yet?

Thanks! and i totally forgot to mention the skimmer. I ended up getting the Warner Marine AS150. Ive had for about a month now and its been working great! A little noisy but ive gotten used to it, and plus its doing its job well so i dont mind :)

the light pretty much covers every corner perfectly. Im very happy with the fixture.

Your corals look awesome. Nice job! I think the anenomes are awesome for ur type of tank. Do they move much and do they sting your lps? I've always wanted an anenome but the majority of my corals are sps

thanks guys! the anemones sometimes do try to move from time to time, but i usually catch them and put them back in place lol

but i think youd be fine with an anemone, my anemone has touched other corals and they just get irritated, and by then i move the anemone (or the other corals around).
