Juan's Deep Blue Edge Series Reef Cube.

Getting into this project right after downgrading my 650 gallon reef tank into a fish only and a quick frustrated attempt to build a 22 gallon nano.

This is a Deep Blue Edge Series cube, ended up getting it after seeing a few threads with the shallow version and I honestly feel is the perfect size for what I'm trying to accomplish...

I know this particular tank is a bit large to be considered a Nano, but the one other build thread is for 180 gallon and over.

(Moderator, please feel free to move if necessary).

Here is some of the stuff I have already gathered for the build:

Ecotech Radion XR30W light fixture
Two Ecotech Vortech MP10W ES
Red Dragon Mini Bubble King 800 Skimmer
ReefKeeper Elite V2
Tunze Osmolator 3155
Two 150 Reactors for Phosphate and Carbon (With their media)
The Bioculture and B-Ionic treatments
ZeoVit suplements
Got 40 Lbs of Select Grade Live Aragonite and about 45 Lbs of Pukani Dry Rock.

Ah!!!, I did find a company in OH called Aquatica, they offer a custom made bracket mount for the Ecotech Radion that looks amazing, so I went ahead and ordered one as well.

Will be hunting for a sump during the next few days... A little limited since the stand only has a 23" x 22" compartment and the Skimmer has a 10" x 9" footprint.

I really wanted a Life Reef made sump, but they are booked all the way up to the first week of November so I have no other option but to look for one locally :/

Really excited to see this build. Hope it doesn't get moved because it is slightly large for the nano section. Reason I'm so excited is because I love my 30g deep blue and if in the future it becomes overgrown with corals and what not I will probably upgrade to this tank as it would be an easy switch.
Excited to see updates!!

This one is 60 Gallon, like I said above, there is no dedicated space for tanks in the 40 through 180 range, so the Nano thread is closer by far to the size I'm building.[/QUOTE]

60 gallon total volume? Or DT volume?

Also I really can't take you seriously.. With all this crap no name equipment ;)

This project has made me remember my very first tank... I took my son to the LFS thinking about Nemo in a bowl and came out with a life long hobby. Just trying to get the best equipment I can from the start. :spin1:

Tank is a 24" cube and 60 gallons for the display by the looks of it.

Correct, 24 x 24 x 24.

Tagging along to see the progress.. Looking forward to seeing this one. Did you already get the custom made bracket?

The bracket should be here in a couple days, it seemed a bit expensive, but I really don't want to hang this fixture.

Ah!, by the way, if someone out there reading this post has a suggestion for a good sump please let me know; the cabinet is 23 x 22 x 23 and the Bubble King has a 10 1/2" by 10" foot print... I have not been able to find "anything" that will suit either one.

"Correct, 24 x 24 x 24.

60 gallon"

Sadly I don't think your will be allowed to post here... Someone will want you to move it too the SPS forum or Reef Discussion... :/

I'm perfectly ok with that... Just wasn't sure of which would be the correct forum (I even wrote to one of the admins asking about it).

SPS doesn't seem the right thread for a build though :)

I believe these will allow you to hang up to 4 consecutive Radions...

Do you have the Mini Bubble King 180 or 200? I saw in your post that you have a Mini Bubble King 800 but I couldn't find that one.

You are correct, the Skimmer is the Mini Bubble King 180 (I took it from the holding tank set up since I have not used it in a couple years).

The pump is the one that reads "Red Dragon Mini Bubble King 800.

I've got another one of these in similar condition from the 90 Gal propagation tank that has also been empty for a couple years... It would probably end up in the for sale section some time soon (Along with all the stuff from the big tank).
